Talk about anything you want, so long as it's about comics!

I have recently purchased an inherited collection of about 300-400 comics for $60. I generally have my collection sorted alphabetically except for Green Arrow / black canary series (my favs) which are stored together sorted alphabetically, volume, issue.
Now with this new collection I added 3 new boxes that hasn't been sorted yet but realized that I can't keep adding to the collection and sorting it the way I have without moving issues to new boxes.
Question is how do you sort you growing collection while maintaining order and being able to find things when you want it?
Other than CPG, do you have another program you use? Do you label boxes or use dividers?

All Marvel together alphabetically. All DC together alphabetically. All large qty indy comics together alphabetically. (Topps, Valiant, etc.) All smaller qty indy comics alphabetical by publisher. The real small press stuff.
That being said, I'm involved in a 1000 year sorting process because most of my comics haven't been sorted. I acquired too many in too short of a time. I do have a problem that some comics I picked up in bulk are stuff I don't even want to mix in with the comics I am sorting. The real answer is that I have too many comics to sort and not enough years in my life to accomplish it at the rate I'm going.

LOL.... haven't heard that in a minute... Recently I have started labeling the boxes with a label maker and when they move I update it here. It would be nice to have a Web Service or something to make an app to update only from my phone. The mobile version is just to heavy for a "quick" update.
Lol Yep i'm a thousand years old Ha ha Nothing yet exists to comfortably to organize a comic collection. Only hard work in doing it (at your own times expense) I've tried them all. Seen some great ideas in the old forum with using filing cabinets & custom wooden draws. Use what you want but It's up to the individual collector to do what one wants to get them books organised.

Sorry I do not use a program other than perhaps a word processor and regular paper to mark boxes. I like something removable.
I use CPG "Box" feature to keep track of what I put in boxes.
You can put your comics in any order you like. Big Retail stores usually separate DC, Marvel, Silver/Bronze Age and Everything else. I separate Silver/Bronze and Kids comics - everything else is Alphabetical.
