Hi! I'm not a collector. I inherited 1,000's of comics and I would like to get an idea/concensus what this is worth please. I've had some graded and generally if they've been sitting in a bag and boarded and I take them out and they look nice I have a decent understanding what grade they are. Once they have dents, lots of ticks, a tear, etc. I don't know nearly enough to make a confident evaluation.

* I have no idea what that mark is on the neck in the last picture. I really, really want to try and clean it but I'm not going to do that lol. It isn't rough to the touch either. *shrugs* I think/hope/assume a professional can remove it.

Funny story is: this was sitting in a group of single issue comics I set to the side. I put it aside because of the title and just picked it back up yesterday. Lol? I was like...is this right?

To my completely untrained eye, I'm think it is an 8.0, hoping it is an 8.5?

Any constructive feedback welcome. Thanks!

First of all, this is one of those books that everyone wants. That is really good for you.

The bad news is that this book is pretty beat up from what I can see. It's not an 8.0 or 8.5, in my opinion, it's at least two full grades below that. Sorry to be the one to tell you that.

I appreciate your help. It has nice white pages for whatever that's worth. Do you think pressing it would take out the back wrinkle? It hasn't creased yet. Since I don't collect them at all, I want to sell it so I want to be realistic in my asking price. I'm just going to sell it raw I think.

Also, I have no idea what price I should ask, if anyone has an opinion. I saw, granted it was in a sealed poly bag, but it went $345. Which, to me is crazy. Had 40 bids.lol.

Like Ron said, with those creases (and some look like they are color breaking, which is always a massive downgrade) and dents, etc.. I'd probably say a 6 to a 6.5 also. Here's the good news, even at that grade they go for over $100..

You can look here and see the worth for a grade in that area:
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/ultimate-fallout/4/yhxykt

You can also look on eBay and look for prices they have sold for, or on mycomicshop.com and look at what they are selling issues in that range for (MCS probably is selling for a bit more than you'd get, prolly need to drop the price 10-15% or more, but it'd give you an idea).

A press would help, but there's no guarantee how much. I've had books that I thought a press would honestly just make it look better, and it ended up improving the grade significantly. I've also had instances where I thought a press would make a major improvement and I got nothing, or very little of an improvement, out of it.

With a pressing (CPG does a really great job ) the book would be a solid 7.0 maybe even a 7.5. Pressing will get rid of some of the wrinkles and creases but not those color breaking spine ticks. The book is a very desirable book. CPG has the value listed at between $280 and $360 for those grades, by looking at recent Ebay selling prices, I'd expect more towards the lower end. ...Just my two cents.
