I had no idea there were so many modern treasury's I knew about artists proof editions but I somehow never made the connection!

I'm sure it sold in lower numbers. It was probably released to coincide with Halloween. It was part of a near complete DC collection I bought, so I can't really say if it was a problem for the original owner to acquire.
I know he had problems getting the Hanna Barbera treasuries that Marvel published. He got lucky and acquired some harder to find ones through Mile High Comics.

I buy anything oversized, so these are some of my latest aquisitions. The are about the size of a Marvel Treasury comic, but much thinner. They reprint newspaper comic strips.
All from Pacific Comics Club.
