Yeti was a member of Weapon: P.R.I.M.E., a covert superhuman group under Canada’s Department K. Their mission was to replace Alpha Flight, but their attempt to capture Northstar failed. Yeti possessed Wendigo-like abilities and wore an electric collar for control. Later, a neurological implant allowed more control and speech.
