Jennifer Ransome was apparently normal human with latent mutant powers. When a genetic test revealed her potential, she fled Genosha to avoid having her powers artificially activated, becoming a mutate. Genoshan agents eventually recovered her in the United States with her fellow latent mutant, Madelyne Pryor. -MF
