Iceboy was an artificial being created by Mojo from neoplasm. It was created as a member of the X-Babies, who were likely made after the original X-Babies returned to the Mojoverse after their encounter with Excalibur. After Mojo was usurped by Longshot and Dazzler, Gog and MaGog set out to kill the X-Babies. Iceboy and several others fled to Earth-616 and sought help from Phoenix and Iceman, who protected the X-Babies until Dazzler arrived and ordered the pair to stand down. She allowed the X-Babies to come and live in the royal palace for their protection.
