August D'Angelo was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Roxxon Oil Corporation. When Brand Corporation's activities in developing super-humans had been exposed, Chairman D'Angelo was contacted by Roxxon Oil's President, John T. Gamelin, who asked for help to oversee damage control. D'Angelo ordered Gamelin to close all the Brand Corporation's facilities.
