Trying to decide to have comic autographed or not

I have the comic New Mutants #98 (first appearance of Deadpool) and may have the chance to have Artist/Creator Rob Liefeld sign it. I don't have it graded, but would assume the comic is in around Very Fine condition. Does anyone know a general estimate on how much value his autograph would add? How would I be able to prove the signature is authentic? If I can't prove authenticity of autograph, wouldn't that ruin the price of the comic? I would really appreciate any tips or advice on this matter. |

Do older bags and boards cause damage to comics?

In my collection a lot of my comics have off white or slightly yellowed boards with bags. Would changing to new bags and using new acid-free boards help to keep comics in better condition over time or not worth the effort and cost? |
