Are you referring to Classic X-Men #40, which is Part 6 of The Dark Phoenix Saga.

If that is not it, would you please provide some more information about the issue, such as date of issue,
cover price, etc.
As far as I recollect, The Dark Phoenix Saga was a story arc for Uncanny X-Men issues 129-137 and
was later collected in Uncanny X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga hardcover and trade paperback.
