Chris Pine's newest movie has got to be one of the dumbest movies recently made. The plot of "Hell Or High Water" is so full of holes they should be drilling for oil in it rather than back towns and the countryside that this movie takes place in. The movie has a dumb stick and constantly pummels audience members. There is no let-up and the pummeling just continues right up to the end. Anyone that attends this movie will certainly leave with lumps. Jeff Bridges and Ben Foster also help out in this ludacris excuse for a film.
The basic plot is simply that two brothers rob out of the way banks to help save their family land. And to show that this movie is socially heavy, the director and writer scowl at the banks a lot through the brothers and other characters' interactions. Bad Banks. Banks are bad. Don't trust the banks. There now you have been hit over the head with the social injustice stick.
Avoid a head full of lumps and do not bother seeing this movie.
