wow, its been awhile since I've been on the forum section of the site, hope everone had a wonderful holiday season with your respected families and loved ones.
Now back to the topic of Dark Horse Comics Star Wars series, I apologize if this has been discussed already, but I've been trying to collect these books for some time now and after doing some research, I found some first appearnces in their runs. for example Star Wars issue #7(titled Outlander) is the 1st appearance of Aurra Sing but nothing shows in the price guide, in fact a lot of information on quite a few of these books isn't listed . And the main reason for this post is this: I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed but these books have been going up at LCS in my area, I don't know if its because of the new movie or the fact that Disney wants ALL the Dark Horse Star Wars books destroyed, has anyone else heard this or have an information?

WHAT WHAT WHAT???? For SHAME disney! I love my DH SW books. and yeah these are tricky to complete. just when you think you're closing in you find out there's an action figure reprint or variant cover with old marvel SW inside DH covers!!

(side note SS, I jumped the river!!!! I'm in OH too now!! Kinda wish my dad didn't buy me that Michigan hoodie for Christmas!)

Super lame disney. I can understand maybe buying up the publishing rights to keep them from being printed, but to destroy them, that's just evil!

I can't image the "New Adventures Of Jango Fett" sitting in the disney vault next to Aladin part 12: the many feathers of iago.

Umm... I'm going to have to go ahead and ask someone to cite this source. The whole "what is and isn't canon" thing has been going on for years. When Lucas owned it, Soulcaliber IV was canon because they had to feature the Star Wars logo to use Yoda. Anything that featured the Star Wars logo was canon as a way to get fans to read the books and then the comics. Now, only the movies are canon, which makes the screenwriters' jobs way easier. Unless that changed again. I have about a one year hole in my pop culture knowledge.

But I did a quick search and didn't find any source corroborating that Disney wants to destroy the Dark Horse comics. It in no way benefits Disney. Really, it doesn't benefit anyone. They aren't canon. The movies might contradict them (no spoilers, but basically every Star Wars book I read were undone by Force Awakens), but the stories still exist. Anyway, I'll admit I'm wrong if there's a reputable source on this, but to me, it just doesn't make sense.

I recon Expander.
There is some brilliant writing & artwork in those Dark Horse books, Can you imagine a movie coming out based on Exar Kun (thousands of years before Palpatine) searching & finding Feedon Nadd's Sith tomb. Thus leading him down the path to become a sith lord...Bring it on Disney remembering it came from a dark horse book.

I love the dark horse books, but Disney basically said all those stories aren't cannon and to ignore them 😕.

I don't particularly care if they are cannon or not. Lol. I've got Dark Empire 1 and 2 graphic novels (though I have read the whole story before), Menace Revealed omnibus, and am keeping an eye out for the others (Heir, Legacy, Tales, Shadow of the Empire etc). Also highly interested in reading Marvel's Darth Vader and Vader Down. The art in Dark Empire is different, and in my own mind a little ambitious in general.

I don't think they can order anything that has already been printed, and in circulation destroyed. They could possibly put a halt on future printings, but I don't think that they could pull something like destroying what is already in circulation. That would mean coercing people to give up their private property.

A movie about Exar Kun, and Ulic Qel Droma would be pretty brute. Hell, one about the original Exiles would be kinda rad too. I tend to favor the Sith lore over the Jedi lore. Freedon Nad, Ajunta Pall etc.
