Here are some books that I think are ripe for speculation and dirt cheap right now. I would get high grade copies out of the bargain bins if you come across them. Remember NOVA #1 and MS.MARVEL #1 were once bargain bin fodder:

POWER PACK #1-I think it is only a matter of time that Disney will develop this property and right now high grade copies can be gotten for less than $5.

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK #1-This is the first comic appearance of INDIANA JONES and dirt cheap in high grade. I think if Disney does more Indy movies this could start to rise.

MICRONAUTS #1-1st appearance of the Micronauts

SUPERMAN'S PAL, JIMMY OLSEN #133- All the attention is on #134 but 133 is the first appearance of the Kirby's FOURTH WORLD and greatly overlooked and undervalued.

BRAVE AND BOLD #85-1st modern GREEN ARROW. With the new ARROW series on a roll this is a greatly overlooked book and it also has great Neal Adams art

ADVENTURE COMICS #250-this is considered the 1st Silver age GREEN ARROW. New origin with art by Jack Kirby

Nice list DS. I'm after Jimmy Olsen #133 & 134 (a little hard to find at the moment).
Power Pack is cool & I didn't know about Adventure Comics #250 (have to keep an eye out for that one) Not the biggest fan of Green Arrow but a sweet Jack Kirby Origin issue.

Fables #1 is always going to be worth owning. It may never have a meteoric rise but it should always be a steady gainer over many other books. ANY well written, liked, and game changing book is worth investing in even if it is a slow and steady riser.

A very overlooked book is marvel x-men annual #14 (1990) since it is the REAL first appearance of gambit - and not just a CAMEO. It's a few pages long story. I'm feeling bad for all the folks that bought x-men 266. hulk 180 - that might be a cameo, or even more asm #161 (a real jigsaw CAMEO) - but not marvel x-men annual #14 - it's a real full appearance.

Venom #3 is Hot right now. First appearance of KNULL - God of the Symbiotes. You never know, but I'm guessing he will be a reoccurring character.

I thought my comic store had loaded up with enough Venom # 3's not to run out because they have a Donny Cates signing tomorrow, but they either ran out or held some back for the signing. I think part of it might be that they use the word Knull for the main villain which in Sweden means f***/sex and perhaps speculators expect the name to be changed. I mean Disney does own Marvel now. So if the name does get changed, then this first print maybe the only print with the name of Knull. And if I remember right, despite Sweden's wild reputation for sex, that country insisted that Donald Duck be portrayed with pants in the Disney comic books a long time ago.

I went to the Donny Cates signing today and asked him if he had heard anything from Marvel about the name he used in the Venom comic book. He said he got an email from Marvel asking him if he realized what the name meant in Swedish. He said he replied yes, he knew. He said he has not heard anything else.
