I hope you all aren't thinking, "Oh no, not another one," but my father-in-law passed down a Universal-rated 7.5 X-men issue #1 (he bought it as a kid, believe it or not). I loved the X-Men as a kid and still rock all things Marvel, but I don't want just to let it sit in a safe. I was contemplating selling it. After some research, I think I have an idea of fair market value, but I was looking for honest opinions on where to sell and for how much. Any help would be appreciated, and you would have my gratitude.
I can upload photos for proof if necessary, so you don't think your advice is a waste of time, but I do have it, and it is real.

Not sure the best place to sell.
Recent CGC graded sales on eBay:
7.0 sold recently on eBay for $20,000
4.0 sold for $9,000
3.0 sold for $6,900
1.5 sold for $3,750

You might want to hold on to it until sometime next year, there's a little lull in the action right now.  You should have sold it last year.

There are strong indications that the X-men are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that's why RixMaxx suggested waiting. You should listen to him.
