If you are a buyer on Comics Price Guide, I'd like to offer some suggestions. This is a quick-paced market right now so be alert.

Buying Suggestions
1. We are constantly making changes to prices so if you follow the value change page, you can find deals.
2. Look at the picture and the area below it, some are stock pictures and some are actual scans. If it's a stock picture and the book is more expensive ask for pictures of the front and back.
3. Read the shipping information in the "Terms of Sale" area. Some sellers only ship within their country or only media or accept only Paypal. If you can agree to their terms then make an offer.
4. If you cannot find the book as a Direct version check the Newsstand version.
5. If you decide to make an offer, understand that they have 7 days to let the offer stay in place. In those 7 days, someone else could make a higher offer or they could accept or decline your offer.
6. Declined offers aren't personal attacks and are not to be considered negative. Sometimes the book sold on a different platform or the seller noticed that the book has dramatically risen in value or they cannot find it. There are legitimate reasons for a declined offer.

After Receiving an Accepted Offer
1. You should be contacted about payment. We strongly suggest using Paypal for the transaction to protect both parties.
2. There are two options with Paypal for payment
  • Invoicing - The seller should ask for your Paypal email address (not password), this is normal. They need that to invoice you.
  • Friends and Family - If you know and trust the seller this option will save them fees but they will need your address sent separately

3. After sending payment ask for the tracking number. Good sellers will send this to build trust.
4. Don't ask the seller to send anywhere except for your Paypal address. You can have multiple addresses in Paypal so this is your responsibility if your address changes.

5. If you are happy after receiving the shipment leave feedback for the seller. If you aren't happy, contact the seller and discuss your concerns.

Be kind. We've had some sellers act superior or overly demanding, don't do that. Don't ask them to send to a pressing company or to a grading company. There are forms that need to be filled out for those places and that isn't the seller's responsibility. The above lists are reasonable expectations.

We do track buyers and sellers on the site. We want everyone who buys from one of our premium members to have a great experience. If you have a problem with a seller, try to resolve it with them first. The second step is to involve me, my email is Ron (@) comicspriceguide.com remove the parentheses and spaces.
