I'd like to give the members of our forum some inside information on Daredevil #9, the first appearance of Echo. Paying members can see that the value more than doubled but you don't know the history. So I'd like to share some insights only we have.
This book was cover price from 11/1999 until 2010.
3/2010 - Value went up to $10
4/2019 - Value went up to $12
6/2020 - Value went up to $40
2/2021 - Value went up to $45
3/2021 - Value went up to $100
5/2021 - Value went up to $220
It's pretty crazy, right? Any thoughts on this information?

We call that "going parabolic" in the stock market.
Seems pretty amazing for a book of so few years age, little loss due to age and high quality papers, and probably a high print run.

the 2020-2021 increase isn't super surprising to me simply because of the general interest in minority and female representation that comic book world is seeing right now. Echo is a double whammy there (triple including representation of deaf individuals). I think it's nice to see that interest is trending to inclusion. Though I do expect the value will trend back down a bit in the coming years.
