Moving overseas and my entire collection is going to shipped via Cargo Ship. 17 long boxes will be shipped. Looking for ideas to prep my collection to get shipped out.

I don't know if this link will be allowed, so we'll see. mycomicshop has a basic guide on how to prep long boxes for mailing/shipping. I'd guess prepping them for moving like that might be similar:

That link is pretty good. I would say that one thing that worked very well for me was to use pallet wrap on the boxes. I didn't worry about the handles, but I wrapped each box very heavily. Another nice thing: the wrap sticks to itself, so once the boxes are placed inside a moving container, they all sort of "glue" into one big object instead of tipping or slipping. (But I never had to move by cargo ship, either.)
