Why is Hawkeye #9 2nd printing variant selling for $100+? There were 12 that sold for at least $100 in the month of July. I know some of it is because of Kate Bishop and Disney+, but does this variant have a low print run or is it because people find the purple variant cooler looking than the 1st printing?

I just seen both the 1st and 2nd printing hit the top 10 list on comic tom’s top 20 comics of the week. Both are hot with the 2nd printing going for more. It is also the 1st appearance of Clown. News coming out of San Diego Comic Con is helping to drive up the prices of both.

We will definitely look into this book and the various printings. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
A word of caution, some YouTube personalities are driving the market even when it doesn't make sense. (There are hundreds of 2nd printings on eBay, so it's not rare) Comic Tom talked about a certain artist and instantly that person is wildly sought after. Even though the art is second rate in my opinion. Some of this feels like the bubble created by Wizard back in the '90s. Be careful about how you spend your money. If you love it, then buy it. If it's only on the advice of a YouTuber, take it with a grain of salt.
We try to report the market not influence it.

Thanks for the info...I watch YouTubers every now and then but like to see how the comic is selling before making a purchase. Like anyone, I want to find the best price and get a gem before the price gets out of hand and also don’t want to overpay either. When I see a comic rise out of nowhere I like to investigate to see why it’s hot and keep an eye out for it if the price is right. It also comes down to how bad I want the comic whether I make the purchase or not.

And Clown's first Appearance is #8 not #9
