Hi im going through about 1100 comics and just trying to throw a quick condition on them before I learn more about doing it. any tips? like for example, I know 9.4m is supposedly new from the comic store condition, but what would make the difference between fine and mint and fine and good. below are a couple of examples. any tips or pointers would be great, like when the spine is toward the top of the comic does it automatically become "x" condition? Thanks ahead of time.and another edited by xamial on 5/20/2019

There is a grading guide on the site https://comicspriceguide.com/comic-book-grading
Here's one from Heritage https://comics.ha.com/tutorial/comics-grading.s?show=comicdefinitions
Those should help Ron

I agree with Robot - Heritage Auction site guide is excellent. I also like this one https://www.nostomania.com/servlets/com.nostomania.CatPage?name=ComicsGradingMain
The simple way to think about this is - a 5.0 comics (Very Good/Fine) is in "average" condition. Flat - slight wear on cover, normal interior page fading over time.
6.0 - 9.0 are various grades of "above average" condition - nice color, few stress lines, and lightly faded pages.
2.0 - 4.5 are various g4ades of "below average - from 2.0 with a few tears and worn pages to 4.0 - 4.5 - just below average with spine roll or extra wear.
Hope this helps.

KDS, you're calling me Robot now? (using a Robot voice) This does not compute, does not compute.
