One of the most popular pages on our site is the value change page.

https://comicspriceguide.com/value-changes/

Which makes perfect sense because you want to know what's going up and what's dropping in value. Right now there are 900+ recent increases and decreases. The market is extremely active right now. There are some subtleties with this page that you should know about.

1. If we change a graded book only, it will not appear here. The change will be reflected in your collection value if you own a graded book.

2. The up and down is based on the 9.4 raw grade. So if 9.4 drops, it will show that the book went down in value. Most of the time everything dropped in value so it makes sense. However, there are times when the 9.8 goes up and the 9.4 drops. Because everything is based on the 9.4 raw it will show a drop in value. You might actually see an increase if you own the higher grade.

3. Sometimes we are fine-tuning the grading so we might adjust the grade values a few times. 9.8 up, 9.6 down, 9.4 down, 9.2 up, etc. The last change to the 9.4 is what shows up. So we might have used one of our scales to adjust the values up and then fine-tuned it and lowered the 9.4 a bit. This would show up as a decrease even if the book saw a big increase in the first update.

I realize that this post will cause issues for some people but when you think about the size and scope of this site, I hope it makes sense to you. If we showed every up and down for each grade there would be millions of changes appearing. Our purpose with this page is to keep you informed of bigger changes and not the minutia. If you have any questions, please ask.
