What's a pointer?
A pointer indicates that a title changed names or publishers and kept going with the old numbering system. For example,
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/mighty-crusaders-the/xixr
has 5 issues under the Red Circle imprint and then goes to https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/mighty-crusaders-the/pjyymp
for the remaining 8 issues. Now instead of looking it up separately, they are connected with links to make it easier for you.
For Amazing Spider-man vol. 1 goes to issue #441 then goes to volume 2 from 442 - 499 then goes back to volume 1. Those are now linked together so that you can easily follow the issue numbers. We are linking things together all over the site.
If you find one that needs to be linked together please let us know and we'll take care of it. Ron

Good one Ron. Will it be classed as Volume 1 now or is number 442 to 499 still down as Volume 2?

Is this something that y'all have to do on the admin side?
Our Army at War Vol 1 Issues 1-301 https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/our-army-at-war/vcw
becomes Sgt. Rock Vol 1 302-422 https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/sgt-rock/yct

I added pointers to the Newman titles and to Punisher vol. 7 to Punisher: Frank Castle. Let me know about others in the database. Ron
