The Spawn animated HBO series Chris Claremont did back in the day (available on Amazon Prime) is an exciting dark roller-coaster ride with plenty of intro-perspective analysis of the human soul, if your nephew is old enough to watch? Otherwise, maybe fast forward through some of the racier areas.
