I have around a dozen pieces by the artist 'Fielding' that all or most are #ed. I think the artist is 'Sol Baer Fielding' but I can't find much on him to compare?

many of the pieces have an address to 'Bert Feldman', I just now found a piece signed by Bert Feldman. It seems one Bert Feldman was an arcade and music producer in London who later had a publishing company. Not sure how the 'Fielding' pieces fit into this puzzle though? Thanks for looking!

There are likely hundreds of publications that accepted art of this style and some stayed in print for more than two decades. It'd be difficult to narrow it down.

not my area of expertise here, but I tried many google searches and came up mostly empty for more art examples. Your post has the most actually, couldn't find any others other than 'that' auction site that has 1 piece signed by Sol Fielding (for $200), but in cursive, and no middle name, but the telltale circles over the i's, space between the top of the F and lower part, and elongated tail on the G make it appear to be the same Fielding as yours. Couldn't find any of the Rusty comic strip on google text or image searches that he supposedly did for an LA newspaper, which I find strange. Tried searches with just Fielding and other terms too, no luck. And by the way, these are not comic BOOK art pieces, they're comic strip or cartoon art, published in newspapers and mags. Not that helps in searches apparently. Found several comic strip info/archive sites and they had no Fielding either.

So looked for family members that may be able help you, and his granddaughter may be able to help some. She's on twitter and facebook, and writes a blog and has a few entries about her Grandpa Sol. So if you haven't already found this info, you might be able to contact her thru:

She might know of another relative who's more familiar with the art part of his life, assuming it's the same Fielding. Good luck!
