Subby & the Cosmic Cube!?! That's neat. Why didn't I know about that one? Did you notice, the last few issues of Super-villain team-up were published annually... what's the point in once a year for a series...
Well, How many months late was Secret Wars? How about Afterlife with Archie, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and The Sheild? All are supposed to be monthly or bi-monthly and are months late. There are countless others. So having a book come out once a year isn't too bad. Not my thing but it is better than saying something is supposed to be coming out on a fairly regular schedule and not meeting that schedule.

Except that SVTU states 'annually' in the indicia. That's pretty weird. I wonder what the story is behind that one? Aaron

#15 says "re-presenting"... wait a year for a reprint? How sad. Though that Doom vs Skull cover is worth the price of admission. There aren't enough covers with them.

I was at a used book store on the weekend and picked these up. I'm always keeping my eye out for upper grade Canadian newsstand versions that fill holes in my ASM run (which has major holes). More challenging than just finding the usual versions.

Thought I'd post some of my signed stuff (although most is not comics). First up is my copy of Elektra Lives Again signed by Frank Miller while I was chaperoning him at the Anime North convention in 2003. That was fun filled 3 days, spent making sure he was 'wined and dined' and talking about creators, the industry and 9/11. I wish I had gotten a sketch from him, but I did get to watch him draw several.
My Holy Grail DVD signed by Terry Gilliam. This was at a talk put on by a local comic shop.
Wings of Honeamise DVD signed by Nobuyuki Ohnishi
And for the heck of it, a Metallica bootleg signed by the band before the show at a meet and greet in '89 on the Justice tour.

You have some pretty cool signed stuff! As a huge Metallica fan, I think that signed album is extremely awesome! You are extremely lucky to have that!

Back to comics. I recently found a source for Amazing Spider-man upper grade Canadian newsstand versions. These began with 233 and ended at 279. I already owned a bunch of these and decided to fill in my run. After picking these ones up, I only need 3 issues to fill the run (or 11 more Canadian versions to have a full set of those)

Finally sold off my Epic Akira set. I used the money to pick these up.
And another of my needed Dr. Doom appearances.

You have a few of these yourself, don't you? My original plan was to buy Strange Tales 89 when I sold the Akira set, but ended up getting that by other means. So I considered getting the first Punisher, but Netflix made those too expensive at the moment. Aaron

You are correct, I have a two low grade 121 and one high grade 121, but one fine 122. Those were my holy grail books years ago. The vf/nm- 121 I bought around 7 years ago for $125, which was a big buy for me. The 122 in fine condition I bought for $25 about the same time and I got it from a seller on eBay with 5 feedbacks and no scan of the book! Strange Tales 89 is a BIG issue I would love to own, but it is hard for me to save enough money for one. It is one of my holy grail books I most likely will never own, but never say never I guess. Something to shoot for.
So you got strange tales 89 and not posted for me to see? Come on, don't leave me hanging. POST IT PLEASE. Saying Fin Fang Foom is fun! edited by Jokerbangedquinn on 5/21/2016
