The main reason I choose you guys over the others is your ease of adding books. It's a huge pia but your interface has made it much easier. Please work on your iOS apps they can be a bit slow to use sometimes. Thanks for the great work guys! |

Collection export options and UPCs

I'd like to second this request and I see its a nearing a year on this feature request.
I'd like to be able to do some analysis on my collection and return on investment. The only options I see are to export only by publisher. This is very limiting, it would be nice to be able to just download my collection as a csv to xls file with no formatting other than fields at the top like title, issue number, cost, etc. I hope this is a fairly simple request which would allow me to actually utilize my data in regard to my collection to do some deeper looks into what I have.
Thanks for the great work I've seen so far! edited by prrawls on 5/8/2019 |

CSV export

Is there any plans on the product road map for a basic csv export of collection data? It would give me tools to do some ROI calculations on my collection and figure out what I’d like to put up for sale.
I’m sure there are longer term plans, if so is there a roadmap for features that subscribers can vote on or review?
Thanks to all. |

Thanks for the pointer KDS, however it looks like there is only a xlsx version you can export. That export looks nice, the formatting just makes its useless if you're trying to do any sort of meaningful analysis of your collection. It looks great if you want to print it out for taking it out hunting so to speak, for data I need I'd spend more time reformatting it since it splits out per publisher and the by tabs by Alphabet and the layout makes any sort of sorting impossible. To make an export actually useful outside of just having a printed list, it would nice to have the option of data exported with columns like (Title, Issue #, publisher, price paid, current value), this is would be very useful for those of us that need it for sorting and figure out what I can let go and tracking changes over time, etc. It give me actual tools to work with my data how I'd like to rather than have a formatted version of it.
I have to say someone did have to put in some effort to have the data presented the way it exports now (see attached png), what I'm hoping to see in the future if possible is to "dumb that down" and give users/subscribers a more basic output to work with so we can work our own magic on the data.
Thanks again, |

Yes, I've been having the same issues across all devices. have to hit reload multiple times for them to show. Sometime not even that works. I noticed it starting on 9/11 (NCBD) when I was updating my collection. |

While I don't know the layout of the DB you guys are using, I've been asking since I joined for an easy way to get a CSV output of my collection so I can use my data in a spreadsheet for analysis on Return on investment. It would be a very useful option. The output you guys giveus is actually too formatted that it makes the output pretty much useless. Love the site and the ease of use there, but allow us to use our data practically as well.
Because at the moment you are "the site" for cataloging a collection with an basic idea of value. Your only competition is a aging application called comicbase... So please do what you can to make our data useful before someone else catches up and I decide jump ship to the next guy, that is if the next guy ever shows up to the party... edited by prrawls on 12/26/2019 |
