It's weird but that's been true for a few years now. This is one of those weird anomalies in the market that we show you. Ron

3/1/2023 Topic: Grease pencil Ronbatman Administrator	I've removed a few wax pencil dates before. It's wildly satisfying to remove something that distracts from the front cover. Done incorrectly it can cause color loss or rips so it's not to be taken on by rookies. You should definitely have someone you trust to remove it and then press your book. Ron

In 2021 we added 32,416 comics to our database In 2022 we added 39,778 comics This year we are on pace to add 41,500 comics. That means that we will pass 1.2 MILLION comics in our database at the end of April. We should do a giveaway to our members on that day. Give me your ideas, please. Ron

3/3/2023 Topic: UPC WRONG Ronbatman Administrator	Everything before Monster War has been changed. Monster War is a weird one for sure. Collectible shop makes a good point about why would they publish 4 different titles for one story and keep the numbering. It's possible but seems strange. Comics.org has it listed as 4 separate titles. Unless the indicia specifically says "Magdalena vs. Dracula Monster War" we are keeping it as it is. The Indicia is king Ron

3/8/2023 Topic: The Number of Variant Submissions Ronbatman Administrator	I know that this is important to collectors of modern variants. We have two people working on cutting the number of submitted variants on the site. They have approved or deleted duplicates for about 300 issues in the last 2 weeks. Hopefully, by the start of April, we can be down to zero variants in our system for a day or two. In the last two weeks, staff and admins have added 1803 comics to our database! Some were new books and some were missing variants. When you submit a variant please provide a good scan that isn't a preproduction scan. Any information about the issue saves us time looking for the store or the ratio or the cost. As always, this is a group task so thanks to everyone who helps. Ron
3/10/2023 Topic: Another New Feature and New Information Ronbatman Administrator	Publisher Logo/Emblem Recently I was watching Regie Collects on YouTube and he had a guest who was talking about emblems and logos for publishers. For example, did you know that DC didn't have a logo on the first 22 issues of Action Comics? Issue 23 has a tiny DC logo in the upper right. All of the publishers had similar logo or emblem evolutions. The grading companies will be noting these books and we are currently adding them. So if you see 1st Appearance of Marvel's 5th emblem/logo you will know what it's talking about. I'm also trying to add in larger, better scans for those issues so that you can see the logo better. New Feature We were talking in the office about the new Alex Ross villain covers. That led to the Alex Ross hero covers and how to easily identify them. Those issues don't give a title or issue number on the cover. As collectors, we thought that we should sort them out for other collectors. We came up with the theme idea. It's basically a new way to sort books that you want to collect like the Hip Hop Covers or the 25th Anniversary Marvel Frames or DC's bombshells or Looney Tunes or ? This idea grew from our own desire to collect so we think you will like it too. To find the beginning stages go to the home page and then click on the "Price Guide" tab at the top of the page. In the dropdown, you will see Themes. We only have a few added but it will expand quickly. Let me know what themes you want to be added. We also added values on all virtual boxes, specifically when you move to all boxes from the dashboard. One of our collectors suggested this addition. Ron edited by ronbatman on 3/10/2023
