9/13/2022 Topic: Buy comic book press or use service Ronbatman Administrator	That was a fantastic run-on sentence. Congratulations. When you are evaluating a book for pressing there are some key things to look for. 1. Is the book dirty? 2. Are there wrinkles or creases that don't break color? 3. Is there tanning or a dust shadow on the book? 4. Does the book have a spine roll? If your book doesn't have one or more of these things it isn't worth pressing. At CPG, we have maintained a 1 week lead time for over a year now. If we got too busy, we would buy more presses. R edited by ronbatman on 9/13/2022
9/14/2022 Topic: Cameo vs First Appearance Ronbatman Administrator	We have been thinking and discussing cameo appearances lately and I thought it would be good to share our criteria as well as examples. To be considered a first appearance it needs to meet all four criteria. 1. Character appearance on more than 1 page. 2. Character appearance in more than 1 panel. 2. Clearly visible character appearance - Shadowy or silhouetted characters are cameos 3. Integral to the plotline in some way. Anything less than this is a cameo appearance or preview/ad appearance. We are using these criteria to label things throughout the site. Most of the time we will specifically label the cameo with details like "1-panel last page" or "2 panels in shadow" Examples Hulk 180 - Wolverine appears in one panel on the last page and he isn't integral to the plot, so it's a cameo. Defenders 17 - Wrecking Crew appears in one panel over two pages, clearly visible, involved in the plotline. Because it's only one large panel it's a cameo. Thanks, Ron
9/14/2022 Topic: Morbius Movie on Netflix Ronbatman Administrator	Did you see that the Morbius movie is the #1 movie on Netflix right now? I watched it and it was fine. I had heard that it was terrible and all sorts of negative descriptives. It wasn't that bad, it was fine. Some of the special effects were interesting when he would move quickly. What did you think? You know that we are constantly trying to improve the site. We have decided to significantly speed that up and are going to be making huge changes soon. 10/6/2022 Topic: Newsstand vs Direct Ronbatman Administrator	We have been adding both versions, Newsstand and Direct for 3-1/2 years now. I think this will make a lot of collectors very happy. For some books, there is a definite difference between newsstand and direct issues values. Long over due in my opinion. R

Jeffrey Dahmer 1 Jeffrey vs. Jesus Christ 1 Psycho Killers 5 Further Adventures of Young Jeffy Dahmer My Friend Dahmer All have dramatically risen since the Netflix show aired.
