When you type in the title it only comes up with the special edition not the hard cover why I was confused by it.
with the new search features (that are not on the forum's search form, but are on the main site pages), you need to choose 'all' in the Comic Type dropdown to find other types of 'comics.' Or go down and choose Hard Cover, Soft Cover, Trade paperback etc, for those things that are not considered 'issues' like regular comic issues. Since 'Issue' is the default choice, you sometimes have to use those other options to find stuff. edited by collectibleshop on 2/28/2023 |

Grease pencil

not to be TOO sarcastic, but there's this neat thing called google (or whichever search engine you like) that has all the answers. if you search 'how to remove grease pencil on comic book" you'll get youtube videos and tutorials and all kinds of professional and amateur info. do NOT do what the top result says and use acetone on a cloth (that one is not for comic books), or any liquid period. usually you can carefully use a dry cleaning pad and get most or all of it off. the CGC forums have multiple posts on this subject that will show on the search results.
writing on the cover will usually kill the grade by 2 or more 'full' steps, as in a NM 9.4 will be more like a Fine 6.0, or even VG if you go by Overstreet standards, as VG is the 1st grade they allow 'initials etc' on the cover, vs date stamps etc.. grease pencil is usually 1 of the easier things to remove, so worth the expense to pay a pro to do it for a book like that in high grade, especially if you want to get it pro graded.
there ya go, have fun reading.. |

just to tweak the answer more, it's a 'triple threat'--origin of the black costume/symbiote, 1st IN CONTINUITY app of the black costume (story takes place before ASM 252 but 252 was published first), and of course the symbiote becomes Venom and then part of it creates Carnage. The Venom part is what drove it to new heights after the new black costume frenzy died down some, then the Venom movies boosted it way more. |

what Ron is saying is that if you search Serien for the title and choose Sweden in the Country menu, you'll get bunch of those titles. If you use All Countries, you'll get more (Norway and Denmark usually).
If you search for Semic Press AB, you'll get the list that has: Daredevil ( https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/daredevil/phrvht ) Marvels Universum ( https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/marvels-universum/phrvhw ) Seriepressen vol 1( https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/seriepressen/unqpm ) and Vol 2 ( https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/seriepressen/unqpb )
are those the right ones? |

CPG doesn't generally list these kind of packs, since it's just the single issues repackaged. If you search for Marvel's Greatest, Marvel pack, collector's pack etc, you won't find any of those type packs. that Gambit series is here, so just add up the issue prices: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/gambit/smwy |

is that what the indicia says? cuz it looks on the outside that the characters change every issue, hence why it could be just Monster War, and the rest is the story title. publishers can be weird tho, but it would make more sense to me to call it Monster War in the indicia, since the other covers say 'Monster War part # of 4' on them. |

YES I believe in the use of the indicia. and yes, I actually own my books, not get my info from the web were someone else can give you wrong info. monster war is the story line. it jumps from one shots
edited by lokyel on 3/4/2023
ok, will try to remember that you own the books in the future. it's just odd Image has done that set 'backwards' and does single one-shot titles but the storyline runs thru it, instead of the Monster War being the title and the stories are the monster names/battles. what evs, we got it now. |

comics.org lists it, but has no date info other than the 1st printing, so they have it as Aug 1996, which like you say, is probably not right given the dates in the ads inside. I submitted it as a variant just now, so it'll get added at some point. the e*** one sold for a best offer of $21.01 on Jan 19th according to 130point. |

it's here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/superman-the-death-of-clark-kent/ubtp with the new search features, many times you need to choose the 'comic type' to find stuff like TPBs vs using the default 'issue', or choose 'all' for type. |

That's X-FORCE, not X-Factor
a good place to check for that kind of stuff is e***, and use the zoom feature on ones that have good pics. I found several with the scratch, and ones without. So it's a production thing, and likely many have it (like the scratch on Predator #1), but I'd guess that ones without it get a bit higher prices, so you may need to adjust downward a bit, but be sure the mention the scratch of course. good luck with them. |

I found a pic and submitted the variant just now. For the future, it's always very helpful to post a link to a good pic or attach one. Sometimes new ones are hard to find pics of right away, and they need to be production cover pics, not pre-production that may not be the final version. |

correct. there's a New Defenders trade paperback, but no series under New Defenders, it's just volume 1 renamed at #125, which CPG notes on that issue. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/defenders-the/125/phqpjyq |

Hmmm... Mine are all direct with the negative Captain America logo. I wonder how (un)common this defect is.
I'd guess it's pretty common. About 5 million copies were printed, so even a small percentage having that scratch would still mean many are out there. I was collecting then, and I don't recall if my copies had it or if anyone really noticed it back then, but based on the small sample I looked at on e***, I think it's fairly common. I tried some google searches, with 'scratch' and 'line' on the cover for that issue, but didn't come up with anything helpful. you could do a search on the CGC forums and maybe find a thread on it, if you have time to kill and go thru too many search results. edited by collectibleshop on 3/7/2023 |

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/superman/1B/sbqxiv shows the funko pop edition, not the Masterpiece edition. correct pic attached. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/superman/153/yctqn has .10 cover listed, but it's .12. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/superman/161-2nd%20Print/ucsuby date says May 1963 but it was published in 1987 (comics.org), and cover price is wrong, it's 1.25, not 1.35.
was surprised at the number of missing cover prices after all this time, so trying to add those, but am getting the 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object/no issues associated with this title' error now when trying to get to page 3 of the results. 1st 2 pages were fine, got pages 4 and 5 to work after a few tries with both the page number dropdown and the arrows, page 6 gets the error after multiple tries, page 7 works. getting that error on many titles these days, makes it hard to submit/verify info. too many to list. edited by collectibleshop on 3/9/2023 |
