4/17/2021 Topic: Comics going up in price Ronbatman Administrator	Royal, Good insights across the board. This is a difficult market to figure out because some things continue to rise and other really good books, quality art, top-notch story, etc. are quiet. I'm sure several of you remember the days when Wizard would hype something and the price would go through the roof. Or they would inflate something BEFORE it got hot. That is happening with a few YouTubers and a competitive price guide that inflates things. I received one example where the Fair Market Value said $1300 and the actual sales were $400 to $500. Why? Why intentionally inflate the market? This didn't work out the first time around and eventually, it will cycle back to more of a normal pattern. Lokyei, have you ever seen Christmas Vacation? "The lights aren't twinkling Clark?" Two members own that specific book so a book like Nova 1 which we changed this week, that over 600 members own is a better use of our time. We receive 1000's of requests each month, customer service, corrections, UPC, app, pressing, prices, variants, new books, etc. All I can say is that with our current staffing levels this is the best we can do. You receive all of this for less than $1/week if you are a Gold member. That is a steal for all the work involved! I will get to your book but I cannot promise when.

4/19/2021 Topic: Sellers Guide to Selling on Comics Price Guide Ronbatman Administrator	If you are a seller on Comics Price Guide, I know that things are crazy in the market right now. Today, I had a very nice gentleman shut down all his sales because he couldn't keep up with all the buyers. I'd like to offer some suggestions. Listing Suggestions 1. Use your own picture when you list the item. 2. If you put everything into the sales queue you can set all the information at once. (big time saver) 3. In the Sale Information area tell what your shipping cost is, where you ship and how you ship. 4. List things that are currently hot or sought after Sales Suggestions 1. Since this market is super fast-paced, check your prices before approving anything. 2. Check your specific drops and gains each day. https://comicspriceguide.com/gains-drops/ 3. Respond within a day or two to any customer messages. 4. Use Paypal for your sales. If you know and trust the person you can use friends and family with Paypal or Venmo for no fees. 5. Pack each shipment like it's important 6. Forward the tracking number after you send the package We do track sales and sellers on the site. We want everyone who buys from one of our premium members to have a great experience. If you have a problem with a seller, try to resolve it with them first. So if you go to the main page of the site and then click on "Price Guide" a dropdown menu will appear. The third choice down is "Search for Exclusives" click that and it will take you to this page. https://comicspriceguide.com/exclusives Let's say you are looking for any Scorpion Comics Exclusives. Click on the S and scroll down to Scorpion Comics. The point of this new feature is for you to be able to see the variants by stores. We think it's very useful to our members. R

4/26/2021 Topic: One of the Weird Benefits of Comics Price Guide Ronbatman Administrator	This is a weird one. Today, I had a member call me and ask about when he joined the site. I looked it up and told him the answer. He kept asking questions until he asked for a screenshot of his payment history to us. I had to ask why? He is in the process of a divorce and his soon-to-be ex-wife wants him to sell his comics so that she can have half the money. We were able to show that he owned the books prior to their marriage. Another collection saved by Comics Price Guide. We've had members and companies call us about insurance claims before but this is the first time for a divorce. Keeping a third-party record of your collection is invaluable for all sorts of reasons. Trust me, no one wants to lose their collection to thief, fire, flood, or divorce but it happens. Ronbatman Administrator	This is the Blue Water Productions issues from 2007-12 https://comicspriceguide.com/publishers/bluewater-productions As you mentioned they changed their name to Tidalwave Productions, so I added that publisher as an imprint of Blue Water. It looks like they are mostly non-print versions which we do not put in the database. We can only give limited resources to a publisher like this with very, very limited production. The most popular Bluewater Productions book is owned by 10 people, everything else is much less. So it's difficult to justify the time to research all the variant covers for Dolly Parton.
