Price changes that you think need to be made

Regarding Captain Atom #83, that is a great book to own and I wish that I had one. But we cannot base our pricing on a Pedigree copy that is also the highest graded copy. Those have a special premium that would skew the rest of the prices. For right now, based on the data I gathered it is correctly priced.

The Canadian Whites that you linked to are also the highest graded copies, so we cannot base our pricing on those. I will look into those Canadian White issues and see if anything needs to be changed.

Which one do you think will be worth the most? Which will be the highest grade?

I'm developing a hot comics list for Spring 2018 and I could use your help. I'm confident that there are things that I'm missing. What are your suggestions?

http://blog.comicspriceguide.com/2018/03/09/hot-comic-books-for-spring-2018/

Hopefully, this will become a good reference for you to keep track of hot books.

Thanks,
Ron

Occasionally the server for the images has to be reset. That will cause the covers to disappear for a minute or two. I just checked and they are back up and running.

It sounds like you got several great autographs. Are you going to display these books now?

I think that's a very good suggestion Ox.

From a hot book perspective, it's tough to balance some books or characters who were extremely hot last year with new hot books. Harley Quinn and X-23 were red hot last year. They have cooled off but those books are still extremely desirable. Any thoughts on this?

When you log in for the first time, click the "keep me logged in" box. That should take care of the logging out issue.

Change is the common element to all of the great stories. Something new happens, a fresh story perspective, a new artist, a new character, a shift in a character are all versions of change. I love that kind of stuff. The collector frustration is the #1 lather, rinse, repeat cycle. But how do comic publishers get our attention without rebooting?

Gilgandra, do you have a large collection? In my thinking, if you have a really large collection, you can be more laid back about it. Or it could be your personality type? Thanks for reading it.

Expander, we are all kind of a mix. When I want to read a story, I become a completist. Selling books to buy more books is different than an investor. Maybe there's an efficient collector, who uses their limited resources efficiently. Maybe?

Someone in the forums or in an email asked that I update the prices on Dark Knight 3 #1 that weren't priced. I've gone through all the issues and added pricing plus added 25 variants that we didn't have and organized them in alphabetical order. If anyone has some of the missing scans or will find them for me, I'll immediately approve them.

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/dark-knight-iii-the-master-race/vhqyo

Because of the number of variants we ran out of space for all of them. Our system is currently set up to go to 3 digits or 78 variants, ZZZ being the last. In the future, we will add additional space for more than 78 variants of a single issue. (does that sound crazy to anyone else?)

The new website, the app, the blog and other things have taken our time but we typically approve an insane amount of information each week. New books, cover scans, prices, creators, and variants are put in the system each day. On average, I personally approve between 400 and 600 items each day and I'm not the only one doing it.

You can help us by going here and verifying things. https://comicspriceguide.com/verify-data Thousands of pieces of information get added every day.

If a title or book is obscure or difficult to research it takes longer. I will look into the books that you've listed.

I don't see an end anytime soon There are people who love variant covers, all the different artwork, the rarity, and the thrill of the hunt. The publishers love it because they make so much money on a single issue.

If you look through the covers to Dark Knight III #1 you will see some amazing artwork by Jock, Risso, Dell Otto and others. So I get it.

Defiant1,
This article was written for fun and entertainment, not a personal attack on you. I don't even know you. My philosophy is if you can't make fun of yourself then you're living a life that is too serious. I laugh at myself all the time. Chill out man, it's not that deep. It's just a silly article.

I'd suggest that you avoid my blog posts if this offends you. Have a good one,
Ron

Laroo42, You have no idea how long that took to update and research all those issues. It's still not 100% like I want it to look.

New Look to Sales Page

We started looking at specific pages to see what we could do to improve them. The old sales page was a listing with large white spaces...not very exciting. Now take a look at the page! Now it's visually oriented with small amounts of white space and easy for people to buy your comics.

https://comicspriceguide.com/sales

If you're a premium member we really think this will help your sales since comic book fans are so visual. The master programmer, Bryan, gets all the credit for this change.
