7/24/2020 Topic: Approving Data and Increasing Your Ranking Ronbatman Administrator	Value suggestions don't count toward increasing your rank. (the original topic) We receive a ridiculous number of value suggestions each day, week, month. When you look at the recent value change page on the site https://comicspriceguide.com/value-changes/ you can see new additions each day. That means we are working on those suggestions. Each collector is concerned about different books, eras, genres so there is a wide variety of books that get looked at. Xena, Prince, Dracula, Batman vs. Predator, Pep Comics, Mars Attacks, Rick and Morty, Redneck and Sandman were all adjusted yesterday. Ron
7/24/2020 Topic: Need Advice! Halloween #1 Chaos Comics Variants. Ronbatman Administrator	Most new comic books are in the 9.4 to 9.6 range. So the odds of getting a 10.0 are very slim. A good rule of thumb is the book worth over $100 before grading? Or does the graded version give a dramatic increase in the value even with the grading fees?

7/27/2020 Topic: Problem Seller Ronbatman Administrator	Taskmaster, As I mentioned before, deal with these things between you and the seller and if necessary involve me. Calling this seller out on the forum is bad form on your part. Sending mean spirited messages to sellers is wrong as well. You cannot do that. There is no excuse for it. We want a friendly community for buyers and sellers. "Then what to do with a seller who doesn't honor the agreement of a buyer by not accepting offers? No matter what the deal with the seller is?" If a seller does not accept your offer, there is no agreement. It takes two to form an agreement. See above for possible reason they won't sell to you. Ron

8/2/2020 Topic: When to sell Ronbatman Administrator	This is my approach. I keep a book when... 1. it's part of a run or set I'm trying to complete. This could be sequential or artist/creator related. 2. A book has big potential and hasn't reached that potential yet. 3. When a book means something to me, like autographed in person. 4. First appearance of a character I care about. I sell a book when... 1. I have extras 2. I don't really care about that book and someone else might. As you look through your boxes you realize there are more things that you don't care about hidden in your collection. 3. Occasionally, I sell a book I like, to buy a book I love. I don't want my collection to mimic everyone else's collection. I want it to make me happy. For example, I know Underdog isn't a popular character but I love him. My collection will have Underdog and Scooby. Harley Quinn, Batman and Spider-man are wildly popular and I love them too. It's not about popular or unpopular, it's about my tastes. If you love that Venom cover keep it. If you don't, $800 could buy something you love. Ron

There are changes happening all the time, as one of our admins is working on new scans when he adds Newsstand and Direct issues with UPC codes. The illustrious and invaluable Collectibleshop is underestimating his value by referring to himself as a "peon". He answers questions, helps newbies, directs people to the proper ways to submit things, and more. I personally appreciate all that he does. Ron
