Problem searching for certain titles

Titan is a UK publisher, so their stuff is under UK in the Country drop-down menu. When you get NO results with the default setting, the blurb below that says: "No results? Try these tips: Are you looking at the right country? Try changing the search to "All Countries". Your search may have been published outside the USA."
Of course if there are SOME USA published issues of that title too, then you won't see that blurb, but many people seem to not scroll down a bit to see it when they get no results.

found pics of 2 of the polybag versions, but can't find a good pic so far for the purple prestige bagged. submitted the pics via missing scan and missing variant. thanks.
update: attached pics of all, and see if the purple polybag one is ok, had to crop it some to get it even, as pic was angled a bit.

I submitted the missing 4 variant covers, I THINK I got them right, so check out the Verify page and 'yup' away..
and note to admin-- the cover to https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/elvira-meets-vincent-price/1-RI-B/phuscqy is wrong, you have it as the same cover as the virgin issue RI-C. smaller pic attached than KDS's of the correct cover.
and the pic for the virgin photo cover wasn't cropped well, https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/elvira-meets-vincent-price/1-RI-A/phuscqv , so attached a better pic of it too.
another tree-fiddy in the bank....

the title listing page has 2013 for the series subtitle, and #1A and #4 in their subtitles, but I think it should be 2014 like most of the rest. I submitted the date on the issue's page too. comics.org says the 'publication date' is 2014, but the 'on sale' dates are nov/dec 2013, so typical 2 month variance.. saw the indicia online and all it has is a 2013 copyright date, nothing for any of the ISSUES, doesn't even say "#1" etc. |

been 2 days since I submitted the 4 missing variants, they're off the verify list, but the issue pages still say 'missing scan', not 'approval pending', so not sure what to do there. |

Variant submission instructions have been posted on the forums (especially this forum) tons of times, so a search should have turned up one, but depends on your search terms. but if you don't use or read the forums much, you may not have seen those posts. but now you have basics for the next time. |

I finally figured how to upload pictures to CPG. I keep getting error. Now its telling me, 'input string was not in a correct format', I do not know what this means. I know you do. I am trying to post AVENGELYNE: BAD BLOOD #1 Prism foil issue. Could my problem be that a cover is already posted as a # 1 Prism foil cover but it is really a # 2 issue. --LISA
the input thing may mean the pic is not a .jpg or .png, so check the format it's in. HOWEVER, I submitted the prism cover a week or so ago, along with several others, and somehow someone messed up and switched the prism one to a MARVEL X-Men #2 issue? Weird. so Gilgandra or another admin will have to fix that. attached a pic of it in case they lost the 1st one.
For us users, you can't submit a cover thru the missing scan or variant sub if there's already one there, correct or not, so you have to report those mistakes here. and it may be a bit before submitted variants get approved, as there's an intermittent pic problem with the submitted variant pics not showing to the people who can approve them.

pretty sure these are recent-ish reprints. And that's Action Comics #380, not Superman 380. Don't know if that seller reads Arabic, but you could ask him, and see if he can see any dates in the indicia.

please always post a pic or a link to a pic, it really helps. this seems to not be in the database. everyone else who lists it says it's by Archaia. CPG has that series as 2006, but others say (Dec) 2005.

It's faster if you submit it yourself. Take good square-on pics/scans, .jpg format preferred, cropped to the edges. If you can't, then find them on the net, with no watermarks, and no signatures. Use the "Report Missing Variant" function found in the listings for individual books. You must be logged in to do this. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/invincible-red-sonja-the/3/phupirs would be the page for this issue. I see they have no pics of the other variants either, so if you can find them, you can help out and submit them as well. Must be pics of the published version, not the pre-published version you may see in Previews or even on the Publisher's site.
Read this post too: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic5-guidelines-for-uploading-cover-scans-to-cpg.aspx (the size he mentions using is a bit small, I usually do 400x600 or so, or bit bigger if it needs no size reduction like a really big pic does).
- Navigate to the specific book that is missing a variant.
- Select the 'Variants' tab found next to 'Values'.
- You should see a red box titled "Report Missing Variants" on the right side below any listed variants.
- Clicking the box will bring up a page where you can enter information specific to the variant you are reporting (not all is required). This includes what it's called, price, artist, publication date, etc. This makes it much faster for the adminsto process the request.

if you can't get the submission to work (has glitches sometimes), you can post a link to a pic here and CPG can add it.

yes you do, also if you add other info like published date, cover price etc, if you're SURE of it. takes a lot of submitted stuff to move along in the rankings, just so you know. |

it's really helpful if you post a link to the publisher, as there's an Opus Graphics publisher too, which isn't the same one. google search turns up this site, which I assume is the one you're talking about?

found this announcement too: "Heavy Metal Entertainment has launched Opus, a music comics imprint focused on heavy, alternative, and guitar-based music." not sure how they're distributed though. CPG can decide whether to add them now. |

I see no pics up yet for this series, or any on the verify data page. how did you upload them, and to where? did you use the 'missing scan' button/graphic on the issue's page? it should change to 'pending review', then appears on the verify data page under the Covers tab (https://comicspriceguide.com/verify-data). once a couple members 'yup' it, it gets reviewed by an admin usually, then gets approved and shows on the issue page. this can take a few days or week, or longer if there's technical difficulties like there has been with pics lately. I'm still waiting on variant pics I submitted for Elvira Meets Vincent Price #1s from 8 days ago that still aren't even showing under the variants tab for my submissions, and the correct newsstands to be fixed/added to Cloak and Dagger from 11 days ago so I can delete my copies.
Gilgandra, you there? I just resubmitted the 4 missing #1 Elvira variants, and there's two more attached to my post on this thread to correct a couple:

the issues should show under your 'pending' list on the hits/misses page, then hits if approved, but they get bumped off as you add new info on other issues, so sometimes if you do a lot, you won't always see the earlier ones.

why do my variant submissions on this series keep disappearing? have submitted them twice now, 12 days apart, they get to the verify data page, get yupped I assume cuz they disappear shortly after (and are not on my 'misses/hits' page), then don't get added, and the pic image on the issue listings still says 'missing scan' and not pending? they do not show on the variant page with my submitted images down in the pending area either. the pics I submitted are correct, published versions, correct format, size etc, so dunno why they aren't being added. and the two I attached before to fix wrong or poorly cropped ones haven't been fixed either. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/elvira-meets-vincent-price/1/phuscqs
Just submitted the 2 missing variants for issue #2 now. let's see how that goes...

thanks, good to know it's not just me. so today, my Elvira #2 subs were approved and are showing on the issue's pages, as well as a bunch of Steven Universe Ongoing I added, so those worked. so will await some admins sleuthing to see why the #1 elviras don't get added. |

oh, I thought you had added the pics for the GI Joes and that's why you wondered about getting rank credit. You have a ranking of 4 so far, so you've gotten credit for some stuff at least. I'm not 100% sure that image subs show on the hits/misses page, but they should. my recent ones (yesterday and today) don't, but I also submitted a bunch of prices after those, so the prices may have bumped the pics off my pending list. but, my Hits list has old stuff on it and doesn't list the last bunch of pics that HAVE been approved, so someone with more info will have to weigh in on whether pic subs show on that list. even if not, you should get credit for them.
this blurb on the ranks page says "What Data Can I Submit? Issue date, cover price, book stories, and credits are all pieces of valuable data we collect to try and provide our members with the most complete comic book information database."
No mention of pics, but I've always assumed they count, cuz that's a very important thing to have.
It can take hundreds of data subs to move up the ranks, and it takes more the higher you go. doesn't mean a whole lot tho. mostly you just get subs approved quicker, and some 'reputation' points that may help if you buy and sell here.
