Thank you, I've adjusted the price for that book.
That 6/20 sale seems very suspect. A low-grade book with chunks missing for $40+ Ron |

Can I Tell If Its Been Sold???
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
After you've made a sale and left feedback they disappear after 30 days. (I'm saying this here so everyone can see the answer since you and I talked on phone) Unfortunately, you sold it in October but we all wish we had more Batman 423's laying around.
I keep an Excel spreadsheet with my sales. It takes a little extra time but it's worth it.

Newstand vs direct....Simple explained!
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
Tarn, I agree with you about Newsstand issues being rarer in higher grades. The interesting thing about Newsstand vs. Direct pricing is that most of the time the prices are the same. When you look at a key issue, the newsstand issue is usually higher. Regular issues have very similar pricing.
Here at Comics Price Guide, we avoided adding all the newsstand issues because the work involved is staggering. We literally had to hire someone to enter UPC codes and newsstand/direct issues. That is his entire job. CGC might be waiting for someone like us to do the work of locating the issues before moving forward. They will have to do something about it soon. Ron |

Here is the latest blog post about Harley Quinn
https://blog.comicspriceguide.com/harley-quinn-appearances/
As a Harley Quinn collector, it frustrates me to see people giving incorrect information about her appearances. I'm not just talking about in continuity and out of continuity there is so much misinformation out there. Trying to help with this blog post. Ron |

Are you using the barcode scanner on the CPG app?
RonbatmanAdministrator

You cannot add a UPC when using the app, you have to do that on the website. You can still do it from a phone if that's your preferred method as long as it's using the website. Thanks for wanted to help. Ron |

Cover scans: Stock vs. Custom if selling
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
If you would like to change the picture from a stock picture to your own uploaded picture, here's how you do it.
1. The item cannot currently be for sale to add the picture. The picture has to be added before listing it. 2. Go into the My Collection tab and add the issue to your collection. 3. After adding it you will see a green button that says "Upload your Cover" when you mouse over it.
4. After uploading your cover you can click the blue "Sell" button and list it for sale.

Printing of my collection
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
There are a couple of options to print your collection.
The first is to put the books in virtual boxes and then print the boxes.
The second is to download the excel file by publisher and then print it. To do this, click on your user name, a dropdown will appear. Then click on the collection tab at the top. At the bottom of this tab is an orange button called "Collection", click it. Now you will see your collection by publisher. The green buttons download the files for each publisher.
You will receive an email and a CPG message with this information. Ron |

Anyone successful at selling on CPG?
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
Steve, Based on my experience, that is in the ballpark. There is a lot of work involved in selling comics and that person needs to make some money. I would say anything from 40% to 60% is in range. If the collection is high grade, highly desirable, the % goes up. I hope that helps you. Ron |

You can only add a cover from the website, not the app. I just tested it with the site and uploaded Batman Adventures 24 with my scan. You can currently see it on the front page. |

About the grading, we have 9.4 as the default setting for the site because most new books fall around that range. It's entirely possible that you have a book higher or lower depending on how it was treated by Diamond and your comic shop. R |

Box Spacers

I like the idea of using old boards in a bag to keep things in place. Whatever you use find something rigid to keep your comics from sliding and bending. I will sometimes put a hardback book, plastic dividers or old boards to keep things from moving. Usually I just fill up the box though. |
