Why hasn't this book been added to the system. It's on fire and a reprint has been ordered.
Can anyone give me some insight into this and other books that take a really long time to add.

What book? Duhh

it's the subject title. "The last book you'll ever read". more info on previewsworld: https://www.previewsworld.com/Article/251188-Vault-Announces-The-Last-Book-Youll-Ever-Read

as usual, if you'll read some posts, CPG doesn't usually list Kickstarter comics, but SOMETIMES they may. but don't hold your breath.

same answer as for Snarc.. Self-published comics are not usually listed here. too many to add, too low interest/sales, and hard to find value. just not worth the time for them.

all these coulda been listed in 1 post. and likely won't be added, as most creator published comics aren't, so you can probably stop listing more. anyone could do this all day for weeks for the ton of self-published/kickstarter comics that have been done, and the staff doesn't have the time for that stuff, sorry.

Armor Wars #1/2

collectibleshop
collectibleshop
I don't find it under anything. #1/2 issues are listed as "0.5" (so use that for the search box), and it's not under that for Armor Wars (or the regular title that Basement comics noted), Secret Wars (any, including battleworld, which is where it probably should be, Journal etc), or just Secret 0.5, Wars 0.5, Toys R Us etc.

Yes, there are 2 editions, 2nd one is a Black & White 'sketch' cover. Bleeding Cool shows both. Every place I see it listed calls it Armor Wars #1/2, or Secret Wars: Armor Wars #1/2 (tried that with and without the colon on here too) and it's on amazon, that auction site, comics.org (no pics tho), mycomicshop etc..

info: 2015 Toys R' Us Variant. Written by James Robinson. Art by Mark Bagley, Scott Hanna and Andrew Hennessy.
As per Bleeding Cool article from 2020, https://bleedingcool.com/comics/obscure-comics-secret-wars-armor-wars-1-2/ :
(Marvel Announcement 2015): "Beginning May 3, Toys"R"Us Customers Can Receive SECRET WARS: ARMOR WARS #1/2 as a FREE Gift with Purchase as Part of the Company's Immersive Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron Retail Program....customers will receive a complimentary "SECRET WARS: ARMOR WARS" #1/2 comic with any Marvel purchase of $25 or more from Sunday, May 3 through Saturday, May 9, while supplies last."
Value noted at the time: "..with copies ranging from $4 to $15 depending on condition."
Sketch cover info: "The origins of the Sketch Variant seem muddled, but it seemed to show up and was sent out to Diamond retailers on a limited basis under Diamond code FEB158108. Toys R' Us did not have them...but this rarity has not made the value much higher as copies of the Sketch Variant can be obtained for $5 to $20 on secondary markets, again depending on condition."

It's a PRELUDE to Secret Wars: Armor Wars.

Attached pics of both below. that should be enough for CPG to add it.

Weather Bird Comics

I only looked under the Western Publishing name on GCD, so just searched for Weather Bird and saw the Harvey ones, but they only have 2 cover pics, same cover: https://www.comics.org/series/62837/

For those who care, GCD's history info states: "Contrary to popular belief among collectors, Weather Bird Comics was a monthly unnumbered giveaway series created by switching covers during the production process. Issues are not re-covered copies of various Harvey comics. The series likely ran for at least a year from September 1957 through August 1958 although the content of some issues has yet to be determined. Although not numbered, their sequence can be determined by date. Large quantities of #6-12 were found when the contents of the Harvey Comics warehouse were sold. They are often described as "file copies" but they are more correctly warehouse stock. Most copies on today's market are those from the Harvey warehouse. Copies distributed through shoe stores are somewhat uncommon." That's just for the Harvey stuff, not Charlton, which ran longer.

GCD list of various Blue Bird brand comics: https://www.comics.org/brand_emblem/2252/

https://www.comics.org/brand_emblem/3848/
might be some pics there to use.

GCD also lists these shoe store giveaways, that were sold under various shoe store names apparently, including Weather Bird:

Dick Tracy: https://www.comics.org/issue/676613/

Smilin' Jack: https://www.comics.org/series/39562/

Terry and the Pirates: https://www.comics.org/issue/676614/

I haven't checked CPG to see if they're listed here, takes too long, so this'll be all I'm gonna do for this thread now.

apparently it was still being worked on just now when I searched for it? It didn't come up searching Last Book You’ll Ever Read initially, and when it came up using Last Book, the pics were all "adult 18+" placeholders. tried a couple more searches, then it came up using Last Book You’ll Ever Read, and now the covers show, for the ones they have so far. timing is everything maybe?

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/classic-comics-18---the-hunchback-of-notre-dame/pnvqk#srcGroup-6 , scroll down to #5, or go direct to that one's page at https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/classic-comics-18---the-hunchback-of-notre-dame/5/pctplw. is that it? slightly different background color, but may due to scanner settings. posting the HRN number from inside would help narrow it down too, but there's multiple editions they don't have pics for.

also, all the #18's are notated as Modern somehow, guessing some other issues are too. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/classic-comics-18---the-hunchback-of-notre-dame/pnvqk

Jetta Raye Adventures

according to comics.org, this was "Funded via an Indiegogo campaign and a Kickstarter campaign". CPG doesn't normally list those type of comics, due to low interest, low production, and general quality. Just to note it, these are hardcovers according to comics.org.

The publisher's site says this was published earlier by others as far back as 1952. If you search for just Jetta, you'll see the list of what CPG has for it from Standard, Airwave and IDW etc, but none are this 2020 edition. I think you meant to type 2020, not 2000 for year of publication, right? CPC may decide to list it, but may take a while.

Dime Mystery Magazine

I'm thinkin' not. after reading various site's info, like "The art of Dime Mystery Magazine is limited to the one page cover, inside story-art, illustrations on title pages, and the advertisements; the main content was, of course, the fiction," and then finding pics of some insides, these mags are mostly text stories with partial page illustrations, so not standard comic type publications, like many many pulp mags of the time. they've not been listed here after all this time, so doubt they will be.
see this site (takes some scrolling) to see interior page pics: https://www.pulpcurry.com/2018/10/the-pulp-magazines-under-the-floorboards/

1) imgur link goes to a blank page for me, unless I copy and paste that url.
2) that's not a listing, it's a pic. Did you see it for sale somewhere? if so, post a link to that.
3) it's a fairly well known alternate cover Ditko did at the time, Marvel decided to have it redone by Kirby. Nothing new. A google search would've found you the answer.
Marvel finally used it for an incentive cover for ASM #700: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/amazing-spider-man-the/700-RI-C/xkvvjq

not sure why they bothered to make a 'virgin' variant when the 'J' cover is 95% the same, but whatevs...It's not listed, so as usual:

It's faster if you submit it yourself. Attached a pic of it for you to use. Use the "Report Missing Variant" function found in the listings for individual books. You must be logged in to do this.
  • Navigate to the specific book that is missing a variant. In this case, https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/black-panther/25J/phrtmwr Select the 'Variants' tab found next to 'Values'.
  • You should see a red box titled "Report Missing Variants" on the right side below any listed variants.
  • Clicking the box will bring up a page where you can enter information specific to the variant you are reporting (not all is required). This includes what it's called, price, artist, publication date, etc. This makes it much faster for the admins to process the request.
See this post for how to check on variants you've submitted: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic15583-new-feature-related-to-variants.aspx
