the 2019 one is the deluxe HARDCOVER edition, as noted on that page, and a google search says: "In time for the 30th anniversary of the blockbuster movie Batman, DC reprints the official comics adaptation in hardcover for the first time."

the other one is the original 1989 prestige format edition.

not sure what you're asking, but if it's about the variants getting listed, see this post for how to check on variants you've submitted: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic15583-new-feature-related-to-variants.aspx

I don't think you can see how many things are in the queue anywhere, only admins can. and there's no 'normal' time, they get to it when they get to it, all depends on how many things have been submitted and what else is going on. but stuff gets lost in the shuffle too, so your ones from last Aug may need to be submitted again.

when I click the Nope button on the Verify page, the popup comes up and the text field has this code in it:
<span id="dvMsg" class="d-block text-danger small mt-0"></span></div></div><div class="modal-footer"></div>/div> </div></div>
and then there's no close or submit button showing.

It's faster if you submit it yourself. Take good square-on pics/scans, .jpg format preferred, cropped to the edges. If you can't, then find them on the net, with no watermarks, and no signatures. Use the "Report Missing Variant" function found in the listings for individual books. You must be logged in to do this.
  • Navigate to the specific book that is missing a variant.
  • Select the 'Variants' tab found next to 'Values'.
  • You should see a red box titled "Report Missing Variants" on the right side below any listed variants.
  • Clicking the box will bring up a page where you can enter information specific to the variant you are reporting (not all is required). This includes what it's called, price, artist, publication date, etc. This makes it much faster for the admins to process the request.
See this post for how to check on variants you've submitted: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic15583-new-feature-related-to-variants.aspx

Spock would say logic dictates that #33 has the wrong year in the indicia, because #33 can't be published 11 months BEFORE #32, right? I've seen a few indicias with the wrong year, so likely you got a miss because unless someone owns it, they assume #33 has to be Jan 2014 to come after Nov. 2013. So an admin can add a note to the issue that says 'indicia says 2013'. Have seen plenty of those publisher/printer mistakes noted.

ron told me before that they can't delete misses, they just have to fall off from time. he thought it was 6 months, but mine fell off after a couple/3 weeks, so just wait it out.

How close are you to finishing the run of tomb of dracula?

Nowhere near as close as I want. upset Prices in today's market make it harder and harder for me to complete my runs. I'm working on ASM pretty much non stop but I still fill in Tomb of Draculas every chance I get. I am starting to find it harder and harder to turn down anything older though so that slows me down on the runs as well Duhh

Hi fellow 'old' collector. I sent you a PM last night about some comics I have you may want, so did you get it?

B at the end of comic numbers

collectibleshop
collectibleshop
'A' and 'B' issues are usually for Direct and Newsstand editions (IF they have both listed that is, they're working on adding more of the newsstands all the time), as Xvipah73 said, and as noted in their sub-titles. However, A and B are not always used for the same designation, depending on just when the issue was published, so you'll see both being used to designate direct or newsstand issues, even reversing in the same run of a title. And if they don't have a pic for the newsstand, then B and up covers may be for store exclusive or artist variants, but that's noted with the issue's description. RI is for Retailer Incentive.

See a bit more about the A/B opinions/CPG explanation in this thread: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic15810-inventorying-direct-and-newsstand-comics.aspx

You can't search using the letters tho, so just use the regular issue number and then find whatever one matches what you have or want to see value for.

have you asked Dynamite or Futureshop directly? go to the sources, they should know the truth. All I could find was some blog that said the season 3 steelbook dvd from Best Buy Canada had an Origins comic in it (probably a reprint?). The BG Origins issues here don't note a DVD insert version either. good luck on the hunt.

do you have a link to the blog?

had to search for it again. beware, the blog takes forever to finish loading, and tends to lock up my browser, so had to stop it and do a 'find' search. It's from 2008. http://galacticasitrep.blogspot.com/2008/03/

this is the pertinent post, and the link on the site to the Best Buy page is long out of date of course:
"In Canada, FutureShop has a few more copies of their “exclusive steelbook" edition of Season 3…and Best Buy Canada is bundling a free issue of the Battlestar Galactica: Origins comic book with the Season 3 package." of course there's no pic, and the comments don't want to load this year, so gave up waiting to see them.

Here's a thought--the blog says 'bundling a free issue of the Origins comic.' That doesn't necessarily mean it's an exclusive edition or variant, it could just be a regular edition that Dynamite or someone supplied them. In that case there's no reason to list it separately. It could also explain why that auction site has none noted with any of the season 3 steelbooks, or that maybe there just aren't any of the Best Buy Canada editions with the comic up for sale or sold at the moment. I tried multiple more google searches and came with nothing, so my guess is that IF there was a comic with that season 3 set, then it was just a regular edition.

this is Dynamite's contact info page with phone #'s and email addresses: https://www.dynamite.com/htmlfiles/contact.html

mycomicshop doesn't seem to list it under the 2006 series or the Origins series either. You'd think after all this time someone would have it pictured or listed somewhere. done all the looking I'm gonna do, so have fun..

CCG/CGC sold to investment firm

Announced today: https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/9253/

Blackstone Tactical Opportunities to Acquire the Certified Collectibles Group:
Blackstone (NYSE:BX) announced today that funds managed by its Tactical Opportunities business (“Blackstone”) have agreed to acquire a majority stake in the Certified Collectibles Group (“CCG”) in a transaction valuing the company at more than $500 million. Mark Salzberg, CCG’s founder, and Steven R. Eichenbaum, CCG’s CEO, will retain a significant minority stake.

So panic reigns on the CGC forums, but only time will tell if this is a good thing for CCG/CGC and the hobby, and getting turnaround times back to normal some day.

Like my daddy used to say, "It's always something. (fill in your doomsday speculation here). Good night my little Roseanne Roseannadanna."
