I like Bruce Timm’s cover and Midtown virgin variant wraparound by Mattina. Most others don’t float my boat.

The Martina cover I liked due to varies version of the Batman, and the Timm cover I am a sucker for old school art looks of Joker. Found a lot of the covers done by others was kinda boring or been done before. Like Jim Lee art but haven’t been interested in his cover art for awhile, seems to rehash stuff he has done before on covers. Too often he does Batman on a gargoyle on a building looking down, yawn... Feel that way about Hughes stuff lately, just like his cover with Catwoman on it, swear it is just a redo of previous cover. Only good thing about so many variants is your bound to find one you like.
I really enjoyed the book itself, good reading and lots of it. Love giant size issues, worth the 10 bucks.

As I said before I enjoy seeing your collection room rixmaxx but man I’d hate to have the job of packing all of that if I’d have to move or put it in a larger room. That’s a head scratching job! Wouldn’t mind seeing a photo of your Goofy full size figure.

That big goofy is so cool! That is not a project I’d want to do of continuously rearranging books, one that I’d tell myself it was a good idea originally but not so much as time went on. This obviously takes a person that really enjoys his collections, bravo to you, I can admire this.

Batman 181 value needs a look to increase values

quinnspuddinjoker
quinnspuddinjoker
Batman 181 needs a increase in values on guide I believe, which has been needed for awhile. On that auction site last week a cgc 8.5 sold at $2,230. A cgc 5.5 on auction site going on now is up to $272 with days left on auction. A cgc 2.5 being auctioned is at $86 with days left in auction. A cgc 4.5 sold at $340.
Thanks if you look into this, much appreciated.

As always thank you for looking into this and making changes so fast after my post Ronbatman. I’ve been following this book a few years and noticed it has been going up in those years but is jumping fast last year and continued into this year.
Again thanks Ron and your staff.

Batman 139 values need a looking into. I believe the current market is way beyond what the guide is showing. Doesn’t sell often so data may be hard to find but I was bidding on a copy that was near a fine condition and the winning bid was $436. Thank you for looking into this and here’s a sold listing link.

Chesterd57, not sure of a real question by you. You need once again need to start your own thread in GENERAL COMIC DISCUSSION. Ok, you got a collection of comics from family. So are you wanting to keep the books or sell?

If you look at the indicia, which is the small print inside the front cover normally, it will tell you the actual name of your comic. I believe the book you have is just named, AVENGERS #1 from Feb 1998.

Keep hoping! I’d enjoy more of same type of book from DC with artists like Alex Ross, Nick Cardy, and Neal Adams covers. Even better a book of the recent hot variants published every year, easy money for publisher.

Big Big Overstreet

Not sure but the type is just 1/16” tall, not sure font size. For me the type is easier to read, paper is thicker than regular guide book and there is a little more room to write notes on pages. They are about 9” wide and 11” long in size. A heavy book compared to regular price guide, think like a little less than picking up a gallon of milk weight. I always bought the BIG BIG OVERSTREET PRICE GUIDE since it was easy to read, easier to mark comments on pages and once I bought the first one, I was hooked. If you are a type that has to buy a printed guide, the BIG BIG book would be my choice.
