I have looked at a couple of Targets but can't find them. Are they with the trading cards or by magazines and books?

I found the Primal Age comic with the Primal Age toys in the toy section. They were in a display that looks a lot like the single Wal-Mart displays.

Thank you!

A couple of covers are still listed on the Fanexpostore.com website.

They are all under "Batman Adventures"
Here are your Meyers covers, Scroll down to #12 to find those books.
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/batman-adventures/smt

Think you'll find the 3 x Bruce Timm books with them as well.

Hope that helped.

Hi Gilgandra,

I looked there and see some of the JonBoy issues but not the ones I posted. I own most of the variants so I can assure you they are real. I didn't see the Bruce Timm ones either.

If there is more research I can try to help with, please let me know.

Hello, it looks like this book is selling anywhere from $25-75 dollars for ungraded books. CPG still has it at $4.

Thanks

HI,

It seems that CPG's pricing seems low compared to what these are selling for on ebay. Can you please take a look at them?

Missing issues submitted

BasementComics
Hi, I went through and submitted a bunch of missing issues I've been unable to locate in CPG:

Detective Comics 519 - no date on cover
Batman Adventures 28 - variant bat emblem instead of barcode
Don Simpson's Bizarre Heroes TPB plus ashcan
Book of Angels (Caliber Press)
DC 100 page super spectacular (1974) DC-8 (also lists 238 on the cover)
Detective Comics 1 (New 52) - does not state "direct". May be a Walmart reprint
Hawk and Animal: The Fifth Force #1 variant photo cover
Box set of Robin II (includes all covers from the set plus trading cards and backing boards)

Thanks.

Newsstand vs Direct

Hi,

I see you just updated some comics with newsstand editions. If I have newsstand issue versions of my books (the older stuff), should I be submitting those to be added?

Is newsstand now considered a variant?

Thanks

got a couple for you--DC 100 page super spectacular (1974) DC-8 (also lists 238 on the cover) is with Batman, as #238, hence the clue of #238 on it:

Knew it had to be in here somewhere. So another one that should be cross indexed to come up with the other DC 100 page super spectacular issues.

Book of Angels: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/book-of-angels/1/piwulr . Maybe they added this since the other day, as it didn't come up for me even using 'all countries' then, but does now.

You're right about the Robin II boxed set near as I can tell. Not rare, it was order-able thru Previews, I used to own it too, so not sure why it's not listed under the Robin II stuff.

The other books someone else will have to chime in on. Don't see any TPBs for Bizarre Heroes tho.

Thanks CollectibleShop. I have that book already under Batman 238 and it didn't even dawn on me to double check that. Thanks for the heads up.

The Book of Angels I have is also Caliber Press but is not this cover in the link. I wonder if it's just a variant. (I think I submitted it as a missing book though).

I'll keep an eye out for the others I requested. I did submit them as either missing books or missing variants using the correct procedure. I know they have a lot to go through and this post was really just a heads up that I did submit them. smile

I'm am going to say a reluctant, "yes". We are considering newsstand issues to be a variant. The amount of work that that simple statement caused is unbelievable.

Sorry Ron to bring up such a sore subject. smile

Since lots of older silver age books shipped with barcodes, is there a way to know better understand when direct actually started so that duplicate work isn't sent your (CPG) way?

Thanks

If this is ONLY available as a signed edition, CPG won't list it, as they don't list signed comics except for Dynamic Forces. Top forum post: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic9-signed-and-remarked-comics.aspx

Hi Collectibleshop, so does that mean if I have Dynamic Forces books, I can submit them to be added to CPG? I have quite a few and would want to make sure the team is ok with submitting them before doing all the work.

Thanks.

Hello, I submitted a missing variant via the "Report missing variant" but it's flagged as a "Miss" but there is no explanation as to why. Can someone let me know what I missed?

Book submitted is Hawk & Animal: the Fifth Force by Antarctic Press #1 variant photo cover.

If I put in the wrong information, it would be helpful for future additions to know what else I should be adding.

this is another of those weird issues that missed getting listed for 20 years somehow. only found 1 on that auction site, and mycomicshop, comics.org etc don't list the photo cover either. I thought maybe it was just the back cover, but apparently not, as the auction site one had pics of front and back.

I got it submitted for you. I think the problem may have been with your file name having the brackets. just use normal text and .jpg without 'special' characters.

that'll be the usual tree fiddy.

Thank you Collectibleshop

Thanks Ron. As I learn more about submitting books and all the detail that needs to be filled in, when I get hit with a "miss" but no follow up message as to why (I got one for the Robin II box set), its hard to see what I could have added to make it easier to research.

Is there a way I can DM an administrator when I have additional questions or just use the forums?

Thanks for looking into it.

I follow closely the auctions and some of the prices paid are weird
Especially for Amazing Spiderman-huge amounts.
i am not that heavy in Marvel-I prefer DC and Fawcett and all the oldies-Golden-rare-scarce-Dell -4 color-Eastern-

not seeing those comics move up on this list but try and buy one.

Hi Ruk,

I've noticed the same. Golden Age Batman and Detective are going for crazy prices. A fair (at best) condition Detective 68 just sold on THAT auction site for Good/GD+ pricing (much higher than CPG and Overstreet). I think the Batman pre issue 50 and Detective pre 100 should have pricing reviewed.

It makes it really hard to justify paying those prices when the guides are saying the values don't match recent sales.
