Just had a look Iron Puppy, They haven't been approved yet (i've been away). BUT...The pictures you've sent may not be able to be used as they can't be cropped properly. You need to make sure the book is square within the the photo or scan otherwise i'll have to cut the edges of the book out & it would look horrible Lol.
I'll reject the photos Iron puppy, So you can re-send them so they are squarer & i'll approve them right away, Thanks. |

Nice review Cobalt Just yesterday i watched the new Ghost Busters movie on DVD (still catching up on some movies Lol). Yep! It was bad, Way to much cheap special effects for me sorry! Although it had some funny moments like after the ghost got hit in the subway & Leslie Jones say's it was the third scariest thing on that train. |

When I do a search for Strange Tales, There are many options. Volume 1 goes from 1951 to 1976 and ends with issue #188 Volume 2 goes from 1987-1988
There is a different volume two that is missing that continues from Strange Tales #189 on in 1976ish. I have an issue featuring Adam warlock (strange tales #189) that doesn't seem to have a place to catalog it. Issue has the first appearance of pip the troll.
Either I can't find the title or it doesn't exist in the system. Any help given would be appreciated.
You have the wrong issue number. Pip the Troll first appeared in Strange Tales #179 ...Not #189. The series ended on #188 Here is a link the your book http://comicspriceguide.com/collection/marvel/strange-tales/179/xkxqb
If you do have that issue it could be a re-print of some kind. |

I actually forgot about this one. Yet another 2nd print i have Lol. It is indeed a second print & yes it does not have anything written in the indica to say so. The yellow (Gold) heading is the clue as Marvel were synonymous with gold coloured second prints.
There could be a 3rd print but i have not seen one. As to why 2nd print is cheaper then first i don't know. Interesting that you seen a different 3rd price for this book. Do you have a link to that listing?
Hope that helped. |

G'day Finley. (at least you have a cool avatar) most members here don't have one...So sad! The regulars do of course. Yeah! I know i missed it too. I know as much you guys do. CPG 3.0 that's a catchy name for it Lol. Jesse said he contacted them not to long ago & the CPG gods are hard at work getting it done. Hopefully not to long ...3,4--6 months edited by Gilgandra on 4/24/2017 |

Found tons of comics

SRAC wrote:
So I'm a big fan of comic books but never saved any that I collected as a kid and while cleaning out this new place I found tubs filled with loose comic's from 1960 to the early 1980's. I have no idea how long they been stuck up in the rafters or who left them there. I was wondering should I start storing them properly now or is too late? Most of them look in good condition despite the way they have been stored so far. Any advise would be great.
Awesome find, Congrats!

Nice! IN the early 70s Marvel did quite a few horror titles: Chamber of Secrets, Chamber of Chills, Where Creatures Roam, Where Monsters Dwell, etc.

I've had all those issues for a long time. Blitzkrieg cost some money. Kubert Nazi comics are fun reading. Love those 70s Marvel horror reprints. The originals are elusive and not cheap. A good way to figure out if you like that type of story without spending $100s per book.
Yeah right about the originals Robbie, They are way out of my league now. edited by Gilgandra on 4/27/2018 |

I'll confess. In 45 years of collecting, I've never seen the series Master of Terror.
An oddball series from the time frame that I did like was Red Wolf. Normally western comics did not appeal to me.
Defiant1
It was a short lived series Defiant1 only 2 issues in the run. I picked them years ago & quickly picked on the fact they were reprints of Supernatural Thrillers thus my quest begun.
Love getting the similar issues or reprints with there originals, I feel complete when that happens & i can move on to the next lot. |
