I did a little research on those and they are 2nd printing. They are in the database now. Working on their pricing now |

I looked into this and Dylman is correct. The writer was asked about this and he said they were trick or treaters. So it's the first appearance of their costumes. It's a great issue to have since it predates the first appearances though. I've raised the value of that book to reflect the market. (It shows a down arrow because I tweaked it after my first price change. In reality it went up quite a bit.)
Thanks for the heads up Jarhead! Ron |

Why does Bleeding Cool have so many stinkin' ads? It's wildly annoying. Anyway, here is the link to the book.

It's a little strange to have the first appearance of a costume but Spider-man's costume/Venom symbiote has done pretty well.
Personally I think it's a fun issue but I'm not going to be caught up in hype. When it dies down I might try to get a copy. |

We've never offered the app the free so that must have been another app. (unless there was a test that I've forgotten)
Bryan our programmer and owner has done an amazing job with this site so you can use it on your device.
The benefit of the app is that it was professional made by a third party to be faster than the main website. It doesn't have to store the massive amount of data only go to the database and grab it. If you try it you'll see that it's much faster because it's specifically made for a mobile device. And it's .99, 1/4 of the price of a Starbucks coffee. |

Actually we have been working on non responsive sellers. We've already removed some people's listing if they haven't logged into the site in a couple months. We can see when someone last logged in and if they have sales listings.
As of December 1st we are tracking non-responsive sellers and removing more sellers that don't respond. We are making this a better place to buy and sell comics. Thank you for being an active buyer Taskmaster! Ron |

There are a few more like this and all of them are 2nd printings. This isn't a commonly known fact so several sellers on eBay don't mention that they are 2nd printings. Buyers beware. |

Image Plus, the magazine

Slightly off the original topic, Image Plus is a good magazine to scope out new Image titles. Usually they have previews and recently released articles that give you more information. If you're an Image fan, I suggest picking it up.
Back on topic, the whole Dead Rabbit hotness seems contrived to me. |

TITANS

I'm really enjoying Titans too.
SPOILERS The minor thing that bothers me is how quickly they are adding people. It seems like every episode someone new appears and I'd like to see more character development instead of all the introductions. They are developing Dick and Raven's characters now so its not an all or nothing. We are left wondering about so many other people. Maybe that's their ploy to keep us hooked. I'm already a fan.
Last nights episode with Donna Troy was great. I enjoyed how she explained being raised by Diana as opposed to being raised by Bruce. Good insight. When Dick says he can't be Batman or Robin, are any of the rest of you yelling at your screen? I know a good name, Nightwing! edited by ronbatman on 12/7/2018 |

Things that need approval
RonbatmanAdministrator

Sometimes it's good to pull back the curtain and let you all know what's going on behind the scenes. Our admins and members have been working hard to lower the number of things in the approval cue. Here is an update for today.
Missing scans - 0 Missing variants - 0 Missing issues - 0 Missing published dates - 30 Missing cover prices - 7 Missing creators - 578 (This is creators who are in the system and need to be approved for a specific book.) New creators that need to be approved - 806 (I'm currently working through this list)
Missing Stories and zero value books are too high still.
In the 13 months that I've worked at CPG, I've never seen the numbers this low. We are making great progress but we will never be caught up. Thank you to everyone approving things on the site! Ron |

Most admins just work when they have time. I work 30 hours a week at the CPG office here in Indianapolis. All users can verify information so it's a combination of so many people helping. |

Grading Process
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
DJ, CGC and CBCS are trusted resources in the comic book industry. They both receive thousands of books each year for grading, so your books are safe. People send them Action #1, Amazing Fantasy #15 and other very expensive books. Everyone is paranoid the first time they send them in.
My General thoughts on 3rd party grading Don't send in a book that is valued at less than $100 in the grade you own. Before you send a book in check the front and back for grading. (I once sent in a book that had a folded corner on the back cover) Send a group of books instead of just one at a time. It's easier to do the paperwork. If you're going to keep the book for a long time, go with the slower/less expensive option If you're going to flip the latest hot book, go with the quicker option You can check the status of your books online.
I hope that helps you. |
