Gil,

I know this post is old but would you like for me to delete a cover and give you the opportunity to upload it again? Maybe it will take this time.

Jesse

That would be great thanks Jesse, That way it will be resolved.
Thanks.

The Ultraverse make a cameo #4 and there is a reference to them on the first page. Ultraverse collectors may want to add this to their list.

I should have upgraded this. This is the copy I bought as a kid. Strangely, by the time he got his own series, I didn't like what they were doing with him. I always like the Marvel Spotlight issues better.

Wow cool book.

Zip Comics From 1941?

Hi, I found a Zip Comic while cleaning dated June 1941, Volume 1, Number 15 called "Steel Sterling." I can't find anything online about it and when I search for the publisher, the only match is from the 1980's which is decades off. Has anyone heard of this publisher? I'm not sure whether to keep, sell, or toss. Insight or guidance would be appreciated!

Under Archie MLJ, Great find indeed. Here is a link...

Homage Studios had a fan club offering back around the time of Wildcats #2 I think. It was early. I was not a big image fan, but I joined the club to see what kind of freebies they'd send out.

Here are scans of what you'd get...

Club Homage Newsletter Vol. 1 #1

Two buttons...

3 postcards, well the StrykeForce is a postcard and the other two are odd shaped images on card stock...

One introductory letter..

One trivia flyer..

Two poor quality flyers trying to sell limited ashcan comics..

Randy Queen was a local artist. Darkchylde looks VERY much like Jennifer the girl who sold him comics at a local comic shop.
I would mess with her and say things like "Wow, he sure imagined you with barely any clothes on at all!" She'd give me a look like she wanted to strangle me. It was priceless. She told me once that I was one of her favorite people because when the really annoying customers would come in and want to carry on really geeky conversations with her, I'd just say one or two sarcastic sentences and they'd shut up. She'd say "I don't even know if you know you are doing it." I'd say "I knew. I wanted them to shut up too." She'd smile.

Anyone who has read a Continuity book before 1990 has probably seen an ad for Freak Show. After almost 20 years from the time the first ads ran, I asked Bernie Wrightson if Freak Show would ever see the light of day. His response was, "Oh, it's coming out next month?"

So, it did come out from Image and I bought the hardback.

Sadly, he is in VERY poor health. He may not be around much longer.

OK then...
I have discovered one more piece of info on this book.
The indica says 1st print.1990 BUT...then the © says 1990, 1992 Hmm. This book was NOT 1st print (1990). It came out in 1992.

GCD shows the one i have https://www.comics.org/issue/334546/
Also Marvel Wikia shows the same book http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Spider-Man_Versus_Venom_Vol_1_1
Then i just checked out Comic Book Realm it had copies (1, 1b & 1c)
Mine looks to be 1b 1st print price variant $12.95 (1992) https://comicbookrealm.com/series/1938/0/marvel-comics-spider-man-vs-venom

Hope that finalizes this problem.
Let me know what you think & if it is a variant post in in Jesse & i'll place a picture on it.
Thanks.

Gilgandra Back Issues 2.0

Some old stuff from my collection.

Camelot 3000, 2nd print TPB. I fortunately have all 12 original issues as well.
Great story, They don't make them like this no more upset

The Big Book of Martyrs. There where heaps of them. Most very low print.
I have about 7 issues.of the series

Big Book of Death. The most adult comic book i own. Not a book to have lying around for unstable minds to find, Actually shows you how to commit..Uh hum.
But a fun read for those who are stable Lol.

A novel in comic book form, Not sure what print this is. The movie with Tom Hanks was one of the best gangster movies made.

Has some cool Todd McFarlane covers. Does not have ASM #301 though, One of my favorite ASM covers.

Back when Rouge was a woman...not a teenager.

Conan the Rouge, Possibly the best Conan story ever. Ends in a uniquely Conan way, I had to do weights to expel the manliness i built up after reading it Lol.

Industrial Gothic, Have all 5 issues. Is about a world where ugliness is criminal.
