Our pricing people make mistakes like everyone else and you found it. I've adjusted the prices to reflect the market, which means some things went up and some things went down with that issue. If you do find anything that is off please send me an email and I will take care of it...as always. Enjoy the weekend R |

We only have the Creepy, Eerie and Vampirella type comics. Since your books are more fanzines we don't value them. For now, the sold eBay listings are your best bet. R |

The best way to get a book added is to submit it, whether that is a regular issue or a variant. Any member can do that. Some of our admins NEVER check the forums. However, when an admin logs on they see the dashboard and the issues that need to be approved/researched. |

I'll take a look at it and see what the market is doing. $50 + for the first issue when they are on #2 is crazy. But as we always say, we don't make the market, we report on it. |

Sanjulian

Recently I wrote two blog posts about Sanjulian and people seemed to like it based on Google stats. Today, I received an unexpected email from Sanjulian, himself. I was a little surprised but pleased. His email was interesting so I thought that I'd share it with you.
I am naturally proud of my work for Warren's publications but I am also surprised by the paintings of his time that are remembered. Before the terror work, I worked for years in Europe on the Western theme (my favorite) and also in the USA. More than 30 years in historical subjects, gothic, science fiction, romantic, etc. Pocketbooks at the same time as collaborating with Warren magazines, but it is not precisely these issues that are more appreciated, and in my opinion are the best.
I followed up with him in hopes of receiving a top 10 list of his favorite artwork. If he chooses to respond it should be really interesting. |

2 "My Box" questions
RonbatmanAdministrator

Boxes can be used for a few things. You can mirror what you have in real boxes. So if you have a short box with 150 Image book your virtual box could mimic that. Or you could put issues you want to sell in a box or all issues you want to print.
I had a customer not want to print by publisher so he put everything in one box so that he could print it all together. |

Rhudman, It looks like you submitted them on November 11th. Submitting a book doesn't mean that it will automatically appear. It means that someone can now start the research process, check pricing, look for images and then approve it. Thank you for submitting them. |

New Pointers for Comics Price Guide
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
What's a pointer?
A pointer indicates that a title changed names or publishers and kept going with the old numbering system. For example,
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/mighty-crusaders-the/xixr
has 5 issues under the Red Circle imprint and then goes to https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/mighty-crusaders-the/pjyymp
for the remaining 8 issues. Now instead of looking it up separately, they are connected with links to make it easier for you.
For Amazing Spider-man vol. 1 goes to issue #441 then goes to volume 2 from 442 - 499 then goes back to volume 1. Those are now linked together so that you can easily follow the issue numbers. We are linking things together all over the site.
If you find one that needs to be linked together please let us know and we'll take care of it. Ron |

Change to the Selling Process
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
Attention all Sellers
We are striving to improve the selling process on Comics Price Guide. We want all buyers to have a positive experience so that they will return to our site and buy more comics from you. In an effort to improve the buyer's experience we would like all sellers to respond to every offer.
Ideally, you should accept all offers since you set the selling price. However, you can still decline an offer from a buyer. What you cannot do without ramifications is ignore a buyer. Ignoring an offer upsets buyers and gives the perception that the seller isn't serious.
From December 1st, 2018 sellers are required to answer every offer. If you have 10 offers that you ignore per year (rolling calendar), all of your sales will be hidden from the site. We will evaluate the next steps on a case by case basis.
We understand that life sometimes happens to sellers so we are adding a vacation mode. (before December 1st) If you are going on vacation or have a serious illness you can check the vacation mode box. During that time all of your sales will not appear on the site. When you get back you can uncheck that box and all your sales will reappear. (You won't have to manually add them again.)
These changes will help buyers find the comics they want, it will help our great sellers make more sales and it will eliminate the non-responsive sellers.
Thanks, Ron |

I see what you're saying with those Image titles especially. We have been working on that area so I think there is something not quite right. We are going to change the time that new comics show up to 14 days and make a few tweaks. Give us an hour or two. R edited by ronbatman on 11/14/2018 |

What Comics Came Out During Your Birth Month?
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
For once being older is going to help me. There were at least 6 books that weren't published in my month. So the every other month thing was going on for Aquaman, Jimmy Olsen, Showcase, Green Lantern, and Daredevil. It's a shame because Daredevil #7 is the first red costume. Except for Brave and the Bold, the following books are each over $1000.
Marvel Avengers #16 - 1st new lineup Tales of Suspense #65 - 1st Silver Age Red Skull Uncanny X-men #11 - 1st Stranger
DC Batman #171 - 1st Silver Age Riddler Brave and the Bold #59 - Featured Batman and Green Lantern
Seems appropriate that the DC theme for my month is Batman. |
