Thanks for the heads up about that link. That isn't a comics Price Guide site. One of our members owned that site and suggested it.

I think everyone knows it's not a CPG site, as it says "...I have here at my website", but the idea is to edit out that link from the top post, as that site isn't there now. Surely that can be done?

What are you trying to edit with that? Your profile picture or settings?

We will work on that and change the link.

That link you gave is not the one I'm asking about, it's https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/editprofile.aspx which is the FORUM profile. I want to edit my forum profile to add my homepage link is all. Can't do it cuz only a blank page comes up, has for a long time, so please either fix it so we can edit, or add a homepage field to our main CPG profile page, or remove the edit link. Screenshot attached of (part) of my forum profile page with the big edit button and homepage field circled. Thanks.

Free Comic Book Day 2019 Spawn

'hidden' under Spawn 1992-Current, #1, then look to the right on the tabs row and click FCBD. Remember this, as this is how they're doing it now. And I'll ask the admins yet again, as others have, why do these FCBD books not show up on a search using 'Title X free comic book day' or title + FCBD, all the time, every issue? Sure would save people a lot of hunting and posting about them. the Spawn one doesn't show on the 318 issue list for a search on FCBD either, and it should. Course it's new and maybe someone forgot to cross ref the FCBD part.
But many people don't look at the issue listing tabs, that should be clear by now, so they're better served by having search terms find the book by itself.

Comic Books - Remainder Marks?

google is your friend, plus this has been discussed on the forums several times. called various names tho, so you kinda have to know what to ask google. but 'distributor ink/spray/stripes/overspray' are the most common terms.
some definitions:
DISTRIBUTOR STRIPES
- Color brushed or sprayed on the edges of comic book stacks by the distributor/wholesaler to code them for expedient exchange at the sales racks. Typical colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Distributor stripes are not a defect.

Distributor Painted Stripes (Distro Ink). Color ink painted or sprayed onto the edges of comic book stacks as a special coding used by distributors.

The more you knoooowwwww...

after researching it, it's either cuz they just missed it all this time, or they consider it a BOOK book, not a comic book, as it excerpts various pages from that series, and has an art gallery section, so not some ongoing story or reprint of a whole story. Ron may be able to shed some light on this.

KFC #3 Across the Universe

apparently still not listed yet. they have #1 and 2, but don't title them with KFC. Supposedly correctly called 'KFC Presents', but the cover on 1&2 says 'Kentucky Fried Chicken Presents', but according to comicvine, "They are all for KFC, but do not all have the same title in the indicia".
And CPG's listing for #2 incorrectly has it as Colonel Corps instead of Crisis of Infinite Colonels, which is how comics.org and most others title it.
So confusion reigns on this, thanks to DC mostly.

So they need to be found under KFC Presents, and Kentucky Fried Chicken Presents, and just KFC and the right issue title, to cover the bases. Have fun.

Free Comic Book Day 2019 Spawn

collectibleshop

decided to edit down my longer response, lucky yousmile

What I'm asking/saying is that ALL 'free comic book day' issues should be findable with the search engine using FCBD AND/OR Free Comic Book Day IN ADDITION to the series title, like the other 318 and 130 are if you use JUST FCBD or 'free comic book day', or like all the ones that already come up with their title and one or both of those FCBD terms. Why are some findable like that, and others aren't? Is it because there's multiple people adding the comics and some add the FCBD/free comic book day in the title/subtitles, and others don't? It's a consistency problem.

Can't the search engine be coded to read the ALL the text in the listing title to find "FCBD' and "Free Comic Book Day"? Tagging? That's what software is for, to make things simpler. One update to the search parameters would negate having to re-do 'thousands' of titles to add FCBD and Free Comic Book Day to them.

Like the 2019 Spawn one. Its listing says:
SPAWN #1
Free Comic Book Day
Image | Back To Spawn | May 2019 | Volume 1 | USA | 59 Owned
Free Comic Book Day 2019 Edition

But it won't come up on a search for Spawn Free Comic Book Day, so why not? Other ones do. People don't know that a title from 1992 is going to have an FCBD tab on the #1 issue for a 2019 FCBD issue if they don't find this thread or another one that mentions that (and no one looks at the About link to find your search tip videos), and if it doesn't show as a variant under the #1 issue (cuz they're not variants of THAT issue of course), and the search engine can't find it directly with the 2 phrases, they end up posting here time after time. You all have to enter these issues every year anyway, under the tabs or not, so why not title them so they can be found by how people are going to actually look for them? Tabs are fine to have too, but too many people don't notice them. I see no reason why annuals, hardcovers, trade paperbacks, FCBD etc issues can't be programmed to be found directly by those terms, but I'm not a programmer, but lots of other comic sites can do it. Or even add some other search fields in a drop down menu that we can checkbox those terms, if that's easier to add?

Thanks, just trying to help make things easier on the users at least.

always best if you go find a pic to link to so CPG doesn't have to hunt it down:

punctuation counts. there's no period after the S, and that screwed me up too at first. if you search for Wildc.a.t.s sourcebook, it comes up along with the wildc.a.t.s adventures sourcebook. all the little tricks ya need to know....

that's the one with the STORY title of 'Once an Avenger' and Feb.1998, but that story title isn't the first time it's been used. There's also a trade paperback from 2016 from the Avengers: Epic Collection issue #2 that reprints the original series #21-40, with the book's/story title of Once an Avenger:
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/avengers-epic-collection/2_trade%20paper%20back/pjxscps

But I think the 1st one is the one you're looking for. The ISNN number didn't help, I found all kinds of Avengers comics with that number. CPG has it for $4 in Near Mint 9.4, but I can't sell mine for $2, so it's not worth much of anything, sorry.

Which variant of "Lady Death" 2 is it?

well, by looking at the pics and process of elimination, you have the regular chromium cover. Yours doesn't have the velvet cover, isn't numbered, doesn't have the 10th Ann. sticker, or says Commemorative inside, does it? therefore, you don't have a variant, just the regular edition chromium cover. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/lady-death-ii-between-heaven-hell/1/pirtmq

CPG's pic is not good of that one, but all the others are clearly differentiated by various details as noted, and there's multiple other sources to check with too. hope that helps.

well oops, I didn't notice that on both of those FCBD issues, cuz otherwise the cover art is the same, so not much of a variant. have you submitted those via the 'report missing variant' button? faster than reporting them on the forum according to ronbatman.
