5/25/2018 Topic: shi 1/2 comic listed twice Ronbatman Administrator	Based on my research it looks like Shi: Way of the Warrior 1/2 did not exist, only Shi Manga 1/2. 56 people just had their collection drop by about $6 as that book disappeared. If that is you, add it back to your collection under Shi Manga 1/2. Ron

5/28/2018 Topic: Missing Creators to the Database Ronbatman Administrator	Thank you to all of you who have been adding creators to the database, it makes the site better and more complete. That part is awesome. I'm currently going through approving or deleting submissions and I'm down to 200. I'd like to offer some suggestions to speed up the process. 1. Capitalize the creators first and last name. If you don't, I have to. 2. Spell the creator's name correctly. I get about 20% spelled incorrectly which causes duplication. 3. Confirm that their name isn't in the database. Steve might be under Stephen, or Steven or even Stephan 4. If the creator only uses one name put a space in the first name spot and then their single name in the last name spot. We receive so many submissions each day and this will help. 6/5/2018 Topic: Pop Con 2018 Ronbatman Administrator	Hey everyone, We will be setting up a booth at Pop Con here in Indianapolis this weekend. If you come by our booth, you will get free stuff. We will be near Jim Steranko and a local comic shop, Downtown comics. The Comics Price Guide booth will probably be the first thing you see when you enter the convention hall. We are promoting our new app and talking to comic book fans. (you cannot buy anything at our booth) Please come to PopCon and we can hang out for a bit. Shadow, long-time admin, will be around too. I wish there was a way to further differentiate those two creators. We are close to PopCon so don't expect much progress Thursday and Friday.
6/6/2018 Topic: Need or Want a New Username? Ronbatman Administrator	Have you always wanted to be Harley Quinn or Batman? Do you dream of a username that will cause envy from all your friends? Have I got a deal for you! I will probably regret this (because of the work involved) but it might be awesome for someone. We would like to get rid of some old accounts that aren't in use sooooooooo that gives YOU the opportunity to get a short or great new username. For example, the guy who has the username Superman hasn't logged in since Sept. 2011. The person who has Captain Marvel hasn't signed in since June 2005. The lady who has Scooby Doo hasn't signed in since Dec. 2010 You could get any of those names for the site! These are the rules 1. First requested name, first served 2. The username has to be idle for at least 5 years. (anything beyond May 2013 is available) 3. Nothing inappropriate 4. All requests have to be sent to me with this post or with my email. Ron
6/11/2018 Topic: UPC; Why input? Whats it for? Ronbatman Administrator	If we ever get a scanning system we will be miles ahead by having the UPC number entered. That is the end goal although there isn't a time frame for it.
6/11/2018 Topic: Wizard Spawn Special Edition Ronbatman Administrator	We don't block outside links on the forums. You can see all kinds of links going to eBay or reference sources for books not in our database yet. I'm not sure what's happening with it but it isn't us. We don't allow outside or inside links within each specific page for comic summary or facts. I'm trying to get this changed because I think it would be helpful to link to the next issue in a story arc (within CPG) when it jumps to a different title. There could be other sites that are helpful in telling more information like Marvel, DC or Image's site that I wouldn't mind linking with.
6/11/2018 Topic: Pop Con 2018 Ronbatman Administrator	Ok, how cool is this? 1. I got to talk to Steranko about all kinds of comic stuff and he needed our app with a question he had. 2. I accidentally sat down at a table and started talking to my friend and then noticed about 10 minutes later that Wil Wheaton was sitting there too. We started talking comics and he gave us his pull list and comic theories. 3. I'm working on a series of articles for our blog on Frazetta and other artists who specialized in the fantasy genre. At Pop Con, I was wandering/wondering around and found J. David Spurlock who wrote several books on the topic. He said I could reference him and his books for the article series and gave me his email and phone number. 4. I got to meet several CPG members face to face, answer questions and talk comic books. 6/12/2018 Topic: Incredibles 2 Ronbatman Administrator	The first movie was a surprisingly enjoyable movie for me and I'm hopeful for the second. (haven't seen it yet) Didn't you think the first one was about a family working together with a focus on Mr. Incredible? The second one tries too hard to duplicate that feeling? I think they should focus on another character in the family for this movie but are you saying it was too political? (hate political movies for either side)

6/26/2018 Topic: How to see a list of most expensive comics in coll Ronbatman Administrator	There are actually two places that give some lists. https://comicspriceguide.com/collection/dc#topinformation Currently, it only has the top 5 issues, titles, graded titles and graded issues but I think we could easily expand that. This is sorted by publishers so you have the top 5 for each publisher. Is there any irony in the Taskmaster's ability to imitate anyone he sees and you taking someone's old name? Imitating him. hmmm I agree with Gilgandra, use the avatar feature.
