artist names Star Wars Doctor Aphra

I can see some of that, but someone on staff (not volunteer admins checking member subs) must type in the creator name for the subtitle for new comics, so if that's spelled wrong in the database when they search it and compare it with the indicia spelling (or do they even get to look at the new comics to do that?), then why isn't the database fixed then so it's correct? If Inhyuk is correctly spelled that way, then why is it still with a hyphen in the database? Been reported before. https://comicspriceguide.com/creators/in-hyuk-lee

Names that are already in the database should be the correct spelling when they're originally added, but I know some artists change their spelling or part of their name over time too. But how do you get from Josemaria Casanovas to Jose Casanovas Jr.? if his database name was in there before that Star Wars issue was entered, wouldn't the person doing the subtitle look there and use that, instead of making it Josemaria Casanovas, or has he changed his name to that in the indicia since it was 1st added? just wondering how that subtitle stuff works when the name is already in the database.
Also, why isn't the cover artist name filled in on the Creators list when the subtitle is done? I keep finding new and recent comics with all the creators filled in except the cover artist, yet their name is right there in the subtitle. I know it's redundant too, but not sure if someone is searching for what issues an artist worked on if the results will show ones that only have their name in the subtitle and not in that issue's creators list. I know all that's not your dept either smile
and should I and others continue to report these discrepancies? that may add up to quite a bit. you have no idea how many I've passed on reporting lately, so don't want overload things, but maybe we could have a dedicated Creator Names forum or stickied thread so people could post in one place.4

some more corrections: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/wakanda/2B/phxqjxy has Terry Dobson in subtitle, seems it should be Dodson.
wrong cover price on https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/sheena-queen-of-the-jungle-fatal-exams/1E/pisroyr, should be $3.99

Photo Cover Variants

yeah, I wondered about that when I did the creator subs, but when looking closely at the pics, they looked digital to me, especially the face (too smooth, looks a bit fake, same with the body too), so I assumed Hollon was the digital artist, and that name shows in the database. looked her up and she's a cosplayer etc., and other sites say photo cover. So I trashed my subs on those, and they should be 'photo cover', and should state 'Rachel Hollon photo cover' to be clearer. digital art has gotten so good it's very hard to tell what's real or not.

I wondered about that too, so have now deleted my subs for those. Not sure why they'd have Netease in the creator database, but that's why I submitted it. If someones owns any of those, they could look inside and see if there's a cover artist named. I always wonder why/how all the other creators are filled in on issues except the cover artist half the time, even when their name is in the subtitle. You have to look inside to find editors and inkers and letterers, so why not add the cover artist too when you're adding those?

so a google search shows both spellings. assuming there's only one of him that's a comic book artist that is. his own instagram page has it without the hyphen. https://www.instagram.com/junggeun_yoon/ . Marvel's site has it with the hyphen. League of Comic Geeks has it both ways in the google results. And on it goes with both ways. I'd think his own instagram page would be correct, but he may also use both spellings? Someone can ask him.

CPG doesn't usually list these kind of books. It's mostly an art book, and from what I checked, it doesn't have the required 50% comic story material, just 8 pages of strips, and sketches etc.. It was done in 1990, and if they haven't listed it in the 29 years CPG has existed, that should tell you something.

Artist Name Changes

here's another one sort of in the same vein. Louise Simonson, usually an editor and writer, is also known as Louise Jones, and is in the database as both. She was married to Jeffrey Jones in 1966 and worked under the Jones name from 1974 to apparently at least 1983 even tho she married Walt Simonson in 1980, according to a wiki page. So wonder if the database should cross reference both names, like 'Louise Simonson AKA Louise Jones' on both creator name pages and in the database for adding creators so people don't get noped or confused, depending on the issue. Comics.org says Simonson for Classic X-Men #52, same for the original issue #148, as do other databases. Louise Jones has no listed credits in the database for Classic X-Men, but that's the name Glorkar submitted (he's usually right), but I don't know which name is in the indicia.
so something for the higher ups to ponder...

really helps if you provide more info, like titles, links, pics etc. Eaglemoss only has 4 titles listed on CPG: https://comicspriceguide.com/publishers/eaglemoss . It's possible that those books may be listed under another publisher owned by or connected with Eaglemoss, so the more info you can provide the better, saves a lot of searching time for everyone.

DC Hawkman Special #1 1985

collectibleshop
collectibleshop
the direct market version is here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/hawkman/1Bspecial/phrunq
Specials are listed under the Special tab with the series they go with (1986 Hawkman series for this one), OR you can use the Comic Type dropdown menu on the search form and choose Special, but that will still just list the main title in the results. Click that and then the Special tab. same goes for annuals, hardcovers, trade paperbacks and softcovers, mostly.
If no one's entered a UPC number then they don't come up in a search, and since they didn't have a pic of the newsstand version that you attached, there's no UPC number. So I went and found a pic and submitted it and the UPC number, so it will be up when approved.

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/batman-family/sbt . No other database, including 2 of DC's, has it with a colon like CPG does. embedded and attached a pic of the indicia of #1 from comics.org, who's about the only place that titles it THE Batman Family, but that's what the indicia says. Open the image in a new tab and it should be full size.

Hello there! I spent days looking to add a new issue to my collection - Invincible Iron Man #16. Eventually I figured out that it was incorrectly listed as Iron Man #16. I checked the indicia in the comic itself, and it says "Invincible Iron Man."

that's what the thumbnail pics and years stated are for in the search results. scroll down the results for Iron Man #16 and find the right pic and year. but yeah, if the indicia says Invincible, then that's how the database should list it. But several of his volumes have Invincible on the cover but are not listed that way, but I'm not sure what the indicia says. Post a link to the one you're talking about and that will save everyone time.

what is there to know? it's a reprint of TMNT #1, but has Adidas on it. google it. ebayers are already offering the package for 70-$100+ over retail. even greedier people have it at $355+ !!
https://www.adidas.com/us/tmnt-shell-toe-shoes/IF9280.html says they still have smaller sizes at the $130 retail price.

so far I don't find a good stand-alone pic of just the comic for CPG to use.
