5/19/2023 Topic: Books that Don't Make Sense Ronbatman Administrator	As we work through the incoming data on comic book values there are times when the data doesn't make sense. Raw prices above graded prices happens sometimes. Today, I spent some time looking at Amazing Spider-man 606 confirming the data. The average raw value is greater than the graded value in 9.4, 8.5 and 8.0 My best guess is that collectors who want graded books look for 9.6 and 9.8 for modern books. 9.4 which is extremely common in raw isn't sought after in a slab. I'm thinking about creating a list of these outliers. It will help you buy smart and it will alleviate confusion when you see it in our price guide. Books where the raw price is sometimes higher than the graded price 1. Amazing Spider-man 606 2. Amazing Spider-man 607 3. Venom 3 (vol 4) 4. 5/24/2023 Topic: We really do want to hear from you Ronbatman Administrator	Thank you all! There are some extremely interesting things from a data point of view as well as extra comments. Let me throw one piece of data your way. Almost 80% of collectors will buy the same number of books or more this year. I thought there would be more pessimism in the market but collectors are seeing opportunities with lower prices. The most interesting comments were... When asked what's wrong with the comic book market someone answered, "CGC has a stockholm syndrome-like stranglehold on the industry" When asked what could make collecting better for you someone answered, "More money".
