well, nerts, I did mean to post the CPG one but the midtown one was 'stuck' in my copy command and I didn't notice when I pasted. And your link also doesn't work as it apparently goes to your collection? ends with "#myCol". So edited my post to the correct regular CPG link.

for some odd reason it's under Spawn Tribute #1 instead of Wizard Special Edition Spawn which is how it should be, like the other Wizard specials.
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/spawn-tribute/1/slsxjq
always try looking under the character name.

and your link doesn't go to mycomicshop (may be a glitch, or something CPG has done for offsite links? not the first one lately that goes to examplesite.com/cowboys), and mycomicshop is not the publisher's website.

google is your friend smile . DISTRIBUTORS, not publishers, put those stripes on the top edges. It's called Distributor Ink or spray or stripes. If it doesn't run over to the cover, generally it won't affect value, especially for 70s stuff since almost all will have it.

CPG doesn't usually list limited signed comics as there's too much variation in prices or not enough sales to go by. if they haven't listed a signed edition comic for 22 years, chances are they ain't gonna.

this problem with finding specials comes up all the time. If CPG would just let the search engine find them by their title, AND for annuals too, it would really help. And yes, it would be really helpful to be able to search by series year, as has been suggested for years. the search engine needs a long overdue upgrade with more advanced features. Eons ago Wizard's site had a way better search engine. CPG's has been too basic for too long.

mcroom, for future reference, see this thread for my search tips https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic12110-evil-ernie-youth-gone-wild-directors-cut.aspx

And watch CPG's 'How To' youtube videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3eOHtGDGIs2A7_jQdSV_ZuYxTmGfs1W1

the youtube link should be posted in the Guidelines thread so more people may actually see it and learn something. Having it buried under the About link in the top menu isn't doing anyone any favors, as few are going to look there for anything. And renaming the Guidelines post to Guidelines and Search tips, and adding my search tips and any others needed, and adding that info to several other forums, would help cut down on the 'can't find this' posts, saving everyone time. makes sense to me, and would be quick to do, unlike reprogramming the search engine.

so I found where that examplesite link is coming from--in the Guidelines post. so vtccf91bigb, when you copy and paste from the Guidelines post for the needed info, you have to completely delete the link in the "These books can be seen at the publishers Web Site at http://examplesite.com/Cowboys" and then paste the right URL, which if it's NOT the publisher's actual website, just edit that bit out too, and put 'this comic can be see at...' then use MCS or wherever.

you can submit missing variants on the issue's price guide page--just click the 'Variants' tab and then the 'Report Missing Variant' button and fill in as much info as you can. But I just did that for this issue, so no need this time. publisher's page for it: https://garfield.com/books/garfield-25-cover-b

the difference is one is a Newsstand edition (with the UPC barcode) and the other is a Direct Market edition, sold thru comic shops. not variants, just normal publications at the time. neither is worth more than the other, and #277 is a $1 book in the real world.

Anyone know where to find this on CPG?

collectibleshop

this was already posted on the Database and Missing Issue forum: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic12243-missing-spiderman-interactive-comic-book.aspx

no one answered because it's not listed on CPG yet. They've been made aware, so eventually it'll get added, but not sure why it hasn't been long before now, as they have the X-Men one, which is listed twice for some reason. CPG is also missing the other issue of the 2 Spideys, 'Hunted by the Goblin'. Info on mycomicshop: "It was originally sold and distributed inside a 1996 Marvel Comics Activity Set", which had all 3 issues, plus a ring and other stuff.
https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=666261

And I searched CPG under Marvel Activity, Interactive too, and just interactive, and just activity, all countries too, and nada for the Spidey ones. so the Ronbatman signal is lit, so just wait.

X-Men one is https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/x-men-interactive-comic-book/1/wkywmv and https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/x-men-interactive-comic-book/1/uiuqlr , so 1 too many. Values are way different too, with no mention if one price is just for the comic and other price is for the set.

Missing "DC super-stars of space" Issue #4

The correct title (look inside the comic if you own it) is just DC Super-Stars. It's issue #4: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/dc-super-stars/4/posyb

ALWAYS try fewer keywords before posting missing issues, as many times the 'title' on the cover includes the story name/subject of the issue, which is NOT part of the series name. See this thread for my search tips https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic12110-evil-ernie-youth-gone-wild-directors-cut.aspx

Watch CPG's 'How To' youtube videos. Not as comprehensive as they could be, but better than what's on the site: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3eOHtGDGIs2A7_jQdSV_ZuYxTmGfs1W1

Thor 337 Variant Price?

google is your friend smile. The .75 version is the Canadian priced edition, very common (not 'rare' as some auctions sellers claim), should make no diff in value to most collectors, but may to some. CPG doesn't bother to list Canadian price 'variants' because there's a zillion of them.

You may want to read over this here:

Canada's population is about 10% of the US, and we aren't known as being bigger comic collectors than elsewhere, so there are less of these than the US newsstand versions. Some don't feel that there should be any difference in values, but for keys and blue chip titles the marketplace seems to think that there is in some cases.

Aaron

ok, that guide is news to me (but I don't keep up with that stuff, and don't care about price variants), and it's a brand new guide, so few know about it yet. And it took 30 years before these 'variants' got enough 'notice' to have Overstreet advisors make a guide? So the question is, will CPG follow suit and spend the time to add however many .75 variants here, and base prices on a brand new guide with a very limited market price time frame so far? Fun. Not sure how many sources/sales the market price was determined from either, and they have multiple disclaimers about accuracy, which is standard, cuz it's just another guide, so take it with the proverbial grain of salt, till it gets a few years of real data under its covers.

If collectors want to pay more for something just cuz the price box is different, that's ok, and I'll keep the rest of my opinion about it to myself.
