I have the comic New Mutants #98 (first appearance of Deadpool) and may have the chance to have Artist/Creator Rob Liefeld sign it. I don't have it graded, but would assume the comic is in around Very Fine condition. Does anyone know a general estimate on how much value his autograph would add? How would I be able to prove the signature is authentic? If I can't prove authenticity of autograph, wouldn't that ruin the price of the comic? I would really appreciate any tips or advice on this matter.

Factors...
1 - Deadpool is popular now.
2 - It's his 1st appearance.
3 - Liefeld is the creator/artist.
4 - It's about a VF.

I say go for it. Make sure Rob signs it in some inconspicuous place and not right over the main artwork.

CBCS will verify the signature through a pretty cool process ( https://www.cbcscomics.com/vsp ) and give it a special "Verified Signature" case.
CGC doesn't do this. They only have "Authorized Signature", which CBCS also has, and has to be witnessed by them.
