Hi all,
As per title. I'm pretty new to collecting and would like peoples opinions on the grade of this comic. How much does the bit of tape on right lower part of cover affect the price?
Thanks!

Here's CGC's current (new as of 2013) guidelines on tape... "... beginning with submissions postmarked after May 3, 2013, CGC will modify its grading standard and ignore the presence of tape if it serves a function (such as fixing a tear or spine split) and instead grade the book as if it was not present. Therefore, any existing defect will be graded accordingly. If the tape does not serve a function, the tape will be treated as a defect and the book will be downgraded." https://www.cgccomics.com/news/viewarticle.aspx?IDArticle=3327&cgc-modifies-stance-on-grading-submissions-with-tape
Here's what CBCS has on their site: "5.5 to 7.0 - Depending on the look of the comic, very small amounts of tape could be acceptable in this grade."
Here's some other quotes on grades for having tape...
Overstreet (BEFORE 2016. I've haven't read the 2016 one yet.): "Very Good - Only minor unobtrusive tape and other amateur repair allowed on otherwise high grade copies."
Heritage Auction: "4.0 - Only minor unobtrusive tape and other amateur repair allowed on otherwise high grade copies."
Mile High Comics: "Tape: This is an area of great controversy. Most dealers will allow a small tape repair in the Very Good category. We used to not allow any tape at all in the VG category, but upon reflection it really makes no sense to totally downgrade an otherwise VF/NM book to "Good," simply for having a very tiny amount of tape in one hidden spot. We are very, very reluctant to waive our prohibition of tape in this category, but once in a great while we do cross that line. But only when the book is otherwise quite beautiful, and the tape does not in any way mar the appearance of the book."
Metropolis Comics: "3.5 to 4.5 - Tape should never be used for comic book repair; however, many VG condition comics have minor tape repair." edited by sclingerman on 1/16/2017 edited by sclingerman on 1/16/2017
