I have an issue of Iron Fist #1 in what I would say is in near mint condition....only issue being there is a sodding delivery date written on the back cover in pen. Its not too big but it is a massive annoyance.
Anyone have any idea how this would affect the value and potential grading of the comic. Some say a delivery date is common and can be graded up to a 9.6/9.8.
cheers

Yeah, it's common, but I doubt you'd get a 9.6/9.8
I've seen comics straight out of a diamond shipping box score 9.2s.... your book would have to be absolutely immaculate to get it at 9.8 BEFORE considering the delivery date.

It can get a 9.6-9.8 but my guess would be that to get the 9.8 it would have the arrival date as the only defect. The best way to figure out what it may get is to find as many high grade graded scans as possible and see how yours measures up. 9.8 is not that difficult to get but you have to be pretty familiar with grading to have a good idea what the book may grade out at. The higher the grade the more anal you have to be. The cover gets most of the grading weight but DO NOT ignore the interior condition!

How do you get a comic graded? I have found a star wars #3a and am curious where to go for grading
