As a ten year member I love this site! I was hugely into the forums before they crashed and I always had a few things to say or add. One thing that has bugged me pretty much since the beginning was the message system on the "guide side."
In the old days I would simply do all my messaging on the forums and kill time by scrolling through my messages line by line on the "guide side" when I was bored.
SOOOoooo.......... My Question is: Are there any updates or changes in the works for the current shared messages system?
My peeve right now is that if a member sees a comic on my want list in their collection while they are looking at the issue page and see my name and message me I get something like this:
"hey i have this book, interested?"
Now I've been curious on a few occasions and just message back : What book? what condition? what price? pictures? shipping?
It's become a dreaded thing for me to view my messages or conduct business with fellow members. Reading through the spam to get to the legit deals offers and replys.
Not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way or if I'm just one of many voices here but, I'm curious to know if there's anything going on as far as a form message for selling (one that shows the title, volume, issue #,condition and maybe even terms of sale.)
I have a few ideas for this so rather than drone on further (as I have already) I'll post and await a response. thanks, Tim

Have you applied to be an admin or moderator yet?
So your question confused me a bit, so let me clarify.
Your CPG messages are currently less useful than you want, and you want it so when a member messages you, it automatically tells you which book they are inquiring about?

YES exactly! if I am the recipient of said message I would see the issue #, condition/grade, asking price, and possibly shipping cost.
Also on the old forums if I posted in a particular thread i could easily find them under my profile. I can't seem to recall every post and every thread so it's taking me a while to get around to my replys on the boards. edited by expander on 10/6/2016

Any word on changes to the message system?
More specifically is there a way to get updates on the process?
Getting anything back on the stages of whats going on will help.
I'm always interested in improving things, but I get antsy wondering if my suggestions are stuck at "the idea stage" not knowing if I can offer feedback along the way as a part of the process.
Lemme know if I can help.

I'll post in the Announcements thread whenever we do big, noteworthy changes. I can tell you that we just fixed a bunch of mail deliver-ability issues we discovered, which we hope will help prevent sellers from missing a sale.

That's always good. I've always had trouble following multiple conversation strings because there was no way to see what you sent out.
Namely when quoting some one a price and then telling them a different price when you're thinking of someone else.
At one point I was just diverting every possible sale to the forums and or my own email just to keep track of what was going on ( this was about 6 or 7 years ago)
I've taken to writing down sales info these days but it'd be nice if we had a sent folder too.
Hope I'm not coming across as demanding just offering up things that I think would be helpful (albeit a probable coding nightmare)
