Hi Everyone,
I need help confirming the 1st appearance of the DC character Major Force. I'm getting conflicting results between these 2 comics.
CAPTAIN ATOM ANNUAL #1 (1987)
CAPTAIN ATOM #12 (1987)
Can anyone confirm which one of these books is the 1st appearance?

Now that you've brought it up GAC i'm getting the same result 
I have Cap. Atom Annual #1 but not #12.
Cap. Atom #12 is published in February 1988.
Cap. Atom Annual #1 is also 1988 (not sure what month though), Comic book DB says his 1st app. is the Annual. DC Wiki & Wikipedia say's #12. Sorry i can't confirm unless someone knows the exact month it was published.

Published in January 1988 (maybe the Annual is the first app. of Major Force).
I like him as a villain, A true sleeper. Need to find #12 now, Best to have both issue's just in case.

It looks like the Annual just may be the true 1st appearance. I do have both but one of them has to be the true 1st appearance. Both are super cheap in high grades right now so I want to pick up a few more. I'm going under the impression the Annual is the true 1st appearance so the hunt is on....thanks again man!!

Overstreet appears to indicate that Annual 1 is the 1st appearance of Major Force. It states: intro Major Force and there's no notes regarding Captain Atom 12.

The Annual is the first appearance. I don't have the books so it may be that it is only a brief appearance in the annual while Captain Atom is the first full story with MF. (Kinda like the Wolverine appearance in Hulk 180/181
